Remix and sign if you agree! And EVEN if you are not a girl or identify as another gender but believe this, please also sign!
I am about to say something kinda long, so if you are here, willing to listen, and have a few minutes to spare, please read! Girls are not objects. We are strong, smart, and powerful. If ANYBODY calls you weak, not able to do something because you are a girl, that you can't be a leader, or anything sexist, that is not true! And if you witness somebody saying those things, DO NOT stand by. Imagine what it would be like to stand in their shoes. They could be too scared to say anything. Or they could actually believe it. Help them and reassure them if they are upset. The thing is, people get upset when women or girls are in power. An example is when Kamala Harris was running for president. People didn't want her to be president. They called her names, and said that she was trying to ruin our country (I am not trying to start a political debate here, if that happens I will turn off commenting)****. But deep down, they are actually afraid of women in power because we ARE powerful. And they don't want to know what happens if men don't control the world anymore. Please, if you do not agree that girls deserve to be anything and do anything, think again. How would you like it if your whole life, your gender or state of being was seen like it had to act a certain way? How would you feel if you were told that you couldn't do something because of the way you are? Girls, keep going and stay strong! Girls are not treated nearly as well as men. Gender inequality is a HUGE issue in America, and in many places around the world also. The world has not developed as much as we thought it has. Sure, we have AI and electric cars instead of carriages and scrolls. But we still have the same prejudices that all our laws, politics, and society is based on. People of color are below white people. Being LGBTIA+ is wrong. Women are meant to stay home cooking and cleaning the house. Being transgender is wrong. All of these are what our world is based off of today. Although it is hard to erase all this, raising awareness is important. Yay! If you made it all the way down here, thank you. It really means a lot to me that you actually read all of this because it is important. ****Notes: The Kamala Harris thing was an example, I do believe what I said up there, but if any politics debates start here then I am turning off comments. It is good to argue reasonably, but people can hurt others feelings. If somebody believes something, do not say that it is wrong. You can think it, feel it, but do not say it. Everybody has their own opinions. For example: Person 1: I don't think women should be president. Trump is good. Person 2: I'm sorry, but I disagree with that. AND THEN END THE CONVERSATION. Thank you! -KeeperLinh
