Cat hoarding is owning a lot of cats Usually so many that it's humanly impossible to take care of them And some cat hoarders just don't care They let their cats have kittens, and those kittens, well They usually end up outside. And homeless. We live near the house of some cat hoarders. We often go for walks to see their kittens. There are nearly twenty. I gave them all names. Sometimes they came up to me. The one you see here is called Ale (he has a brother named Ginger, so 'ginger ale'.) And a few days ago we saw him lying still. Ale died because hoarded cats get inbred and also because cats get sick. Especially outside cats. Neglected cats. Ale would not have died if he hadn't been born into a hoarding situation. I miss him. I miss him and he's not coming back. But we can stop other cats from suffering a fate like his. Too many cats to take care of is too many cats. If you see somebody hoarding cats at their house, you CAN call the police. Animal neglect is a crime. That's all. Thank you. I love you, Ale.
