I didn’t think I would stand by your grave on this day. Still hoping you will come home. Am not myself anymore, Like I am no longer here. Waiting by the lake we hung out together. And the sweet poems you read to me. You always calm me when I’m sad. Songs you used to sing still stick with me. I am still waiting by the lake. Not returning home. Everyone tells me to forget. Maybe they didn't understand I loved you.
