Game Controls: P1 (Blue): Use W, A, S, D (also for left side in Doubles) P2 (Green): Use T, F, G, H (also for right side in Doubles) P3 (Red): Use I, J, K, L P4 (Yellow): Use Arrow Keys Extra Controls (hold until game starts, only in regular mode): - Select Judge Graphic Set: Hold any number key - Turn Off Auto-Fail: Hold "m" only - LIFE4: Hold "space" (also works for Course Mode) - Risky: Hold both "space" and "m" - FLARE: In the title screen, type "flare", then click Start. In Song Select, decide the flare level between 1 and 10 (with 10 causing the gauge to deplete with even Perfect), or choose 0 for Floating Flare (starts at level 10 and drops levels when gauge depletes, down to level 1 before failing out). In a course, gauge depletion rate is 1/5 the normal amount to accommodate for five songs per course. To Start a Game: - 1. On the Main Menu, click Start. - 2. Change the Life Difficulty level by clicking on it to suit your preference. The harder the setting, the faster the dance meter decreases. Then choose a song from the 10 available (5 are displayed at a time, click Change Set to cycle between them). To play all 5 songs in a set, hold Space and click on Change Set. - 3. Change the Game Level by clicking on it to suit your preference. The setting determines the speed the arrows scroll on the game screen. Then decide the number of players/play style by clicking the "-1" or "+1" buttons where appropriate, then click Start below to begin. For Double Play, click the "-1" button when "1P Game" is displayed. Press the keys when the arrows overlap the step zone! The earlier you press the key when it overlaps, the better the judge for that arrow. Press it a little late and you may get a Good or Almost (which is random). Press it too early or too late and you may get a Boo/Miss. In the Main Menu, you can choose if you wish to display Marvelous and/or Almost, though the effect is only display-wise. Hitting the arrows increase the dance gauge, while missing arrows decrease it. Before selecting a song, you can set how much missing a step decreases your dance gauge. Don't let the gauge run out or you fail! When Auto-Fail is off or in multiplayer, if you fail, you can continue but your dance gauge will no longer increase. You can play on one of 10 currently available songs with up to 4 Players and you can choose from one of 5 Game Levels, which changes the speed of arrows. You can also play in Double Style. To change the song, Life Difficulty, Game Level or the number of players/play style, you will need to press the Green Flag. Scoring is based off SuperNOVA 2. You gain 2 points for a Marvelous or Perfect, and 1 point for a Great. This is divided by the possible points and multiplied by 1,000,000 with 10 points off with each Perfect or Great earned, and shown in multiples of 10. Also, when you finish, you get a grade depending on your score and Game Level; note that the AAA, AA, D and E grades requirements are the same on all levels. Note that a grade is not given in Floating Flare as the ending flare level is shown instead. See if you can spot some secrets! Have fun!
