My Fall Fields entry hehe. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today was the autumn show jumping contest, and me and my horse, Whikers Shade, were ready for it. The day was quite beautiful, with a lovely temperature and soft rays of sunlight beaming through the trees, whose orange-red leaves were falling off of and onto the ground. The time to go to the contest was slowly approaching, and I waited patiently, feeling peaceful as I sat outside. Eventually the time had come to make the short trip to where the contest was being held, so I decided to ride Whikers Shade there. Though it was a relatively short walk, it was nice. "Now we just have to wait for our moment to shine Whikers," I said to my horse. Quite soon, the announcer of the show jumping contest called out mine and my horses name, and we approached the arena. It was finally showtime. We cleared the first 7 obstacles easily, but the difficulty of the jumps only increased. Me and Whikers approached a combo jump - a wall, then a water jump, and a triple bar. "Okay, we can do this - you can do this boy." With confidence and a huge leap, we cleared the combo jump. "Way to go!" Said the announcer as the viewers of the contest clapped. "Yes! Fantastic job, boy!" We successfully cleared all the obstacles, and I waited rather tensely but confident as the winners of the autumn show jumping contest were announced. "... And in first place... Nver678 and Whikers Shade!". My heart leapt rejoicefully. "We did it! We won Whikers!" We walked slowly home, and as we watched the leaves falling and lightly blowing in a soft fall breeze, I felt quite glad thinking about the day.
