The story behind this painting is that I wanted to do something more atmospheric and I wanted to practice my lighting and shading (really this painting is just full to the brim with experimentation), so it's gonna have a plentiful amount of mistakes ;; Many thanks to CyberPunch for hosting this DTA! I absolutely adore all of the designs, but the 2nd one stood out for me because I believed the color palette would work better with the setting of the painting! CHARACTER BIO: Name: Lily Age: 16 Gender: Female Species: Anthro Cat / Fox hybrid thing Lily, a young sorceress in training, often likes to swim and be around her favorite lake, which lets off an eerie glow that grants her strength and comfort whenever she needs. The lake is also home to many, many ingredients (frog tongues, fish eyes) for concoctions and spells. However, sometimes, Lily spends a little too much time in this special lake, and often distant's herself from her life problems.
