RESULTS ARE OUT NOW: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1234724885/ RESULTS ARE OUT NOW: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1234724885/ =========================================== I am looking for scratch users who would be interested in creating a team that would appear in this game. if you are interested rules appear below: Rules for entry: SECTION 1: General Team rules 1. Your Team must have a nationality and name entered in the form and project (forms are found below) 2. Your Team must compete in all 4-racing series 3. Teams must be fictional (i.e. you can't make Ferrari or Red Bull racing) 4. In same Spec racing series (IndyCar and FE), Teams may NOT modify the bodywork of the car 5. For engineered Spec racing series (GT3 and LMP) teams will need to design their own car, within the limits of a rectangle (that can be removed afterwards) 5.1. Please not if cars are not designed in a similar style that of designed by myself (@MJJ334), I may request to make small adjustments (just try remembering 1.5 outline width) 6. When designing custom cars for the GT3 and LMP series, please look to real life examples from Group-GT3 (for the GT3 cars) and WEC hypercars (for LMP) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION 2: Livery Rules 1. Your Team must hold a somewhat uniform color scheme throughout all series (i.e. you FE livery can't be green and your LMP livery Yellow) 2. Exemptions to S2R1 (Section 2 Rule 1) can be granted with valid reason 3. Liveries MUST be Scratch appropriate 4. Please aim to keep Liveries made high quality, I have left 2 links below to give an idea of the standard I would like liveries to be made to (if possible) https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/948606402/ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/993762503/ 5. If you have entered a car in FePC, you may use it for the Formula E car, However I will rework the livery to fit the chassis displayed here -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION 3: Specific Team and Driver Rules 1. This is not a racing competition; this is for a game. It would be greatly preferred if drivers are fictional people rather than scratch users. if scratch users are drivers, fictional names will be generated by me, with the team owner's approval. 2. Driver numbers can be between 0 and 999, excluding the number 1 (which cannot be claimed). 3. if no driver numbers are provided, I will fill them out, with the team owner's approval. 4. Teams may only have 2 drivers per class (i.e. 2 in FE, 2 in GT3 etc.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION 4: Powertrain 1. Please specify your engines top speed (more info in forms) and the cars braking force (also more info in forms) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- !!FORMS TO SIGN UP ARE BELOW!! RESULTS ARE OUT NOW: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1234724885/ RESULTS ARE OUT NOW: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1234724885/ !!NO NEW TEAMS WILL BE ACCEPETED AS OF THE 28th of October 2025. IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY INFORMED ME THAT YOU ARE MAKING A TEAM IT WILL NOT BE A VALID ENTRY!! - if you have begun making a team prior to this notice but have not informed me, please let me know asap - Deadline below There will be a hard, but still negotiable, deadline between dates October 20th and 21st (this is to account for the difference in time-zones) 2 / 10 / 25 - READ IF YOU HAVE MADE A TEAM Hi all, just letting you know of some updated terms. Due to large advancements recently made with CPU opponents in my racing games, I will have to lower the number of teams included to provide a level of optimization for the game. below I have listed reasons for this change. Whilst awaiting all entries to be completed, I have begun work on the physics engine of the game, which has been built from the ground up. I am proud to say this is probably the most realistic, yet still fun 2d top-down physics I have developed. the main engine the game is using has been finalized and ~95% completed. In addition to this I have also COMPLETLY re-worked the CPU opponents code, including the addition of realistic braking markers and audio based on an live RMP from the bots, based on their actual RPM, This is due to bots now run on the almost all of the exact same physics the player uses, including acceleration/speed and inputs, gearbox/RPM adjustment, and mostly steering (excluding the all new TCS system), all of which was absent in my F1 2025 game. However, this does induce a problem, upon stacking multiple of these as clones, due to the larger quantity of scripts running it does cost some performance. This has led me to the hard desicion to lower the number of teams that will be in the final game, for the sake of optimization. the new team number will be 7 or 8 teams (depending on the quality of entries made). This is due to me just not realizing that if 14 teams are selected, there will be 112 costumes in both the player and Bot sprite (224 total). If 10 teams are select this number lowers to 160 total, and 7 or 8 lowers this to 112 or 128 total. I have made this decision as I would like the game to load in a reasonable time. T hank for your understanding, and sorry for any inconvenience.
