finale - part 1 ( yes only one chapter per day now T_T ) wonjin pov it was the day of the finale. we woke up from our beds, before we were heading to the pink hallways again. we went through a door, to a lift. the nine of us headed into a grey room, with three pillars standing : a square, a triangle, and a circle . i had used up all of thea's p!lls ... in my head i just felt ... dizziness ? as the lift carried us all on to the square pillar, i looked around. i turned to the edge. there stood thea, clinging on to the pillar. "my little girl wonjin!" she squealed in excitement. "want one of these?" the p!lls? they were back? i sat and with my hands, i carefully tried to get the cross necklace from thea's hand. then, a taunting voice came from the other end. "wonjin, you little coward." hika hissed from the other side. i looked back. "you really thought you could take these p!lls from me?" thea smirked. i lifted my leg and started to kick thea as she started to taunt me even more... but hika's taunts from the opposite side made me want to scream. in a blink, the taunting figures of both thea and hika disappeared into thin air. i headed to the middle of the triangle pillar. luna pov "players, the game you will be playing today is sky squid game. on each pillar, one player will be eliminated each round. to start a round, press the button in the middle. you must k!ll at least one player for each of the three rounds and if no one is k!ll3d, everyone still remaining will be eliminated." the pa announced. yoona... her baby... i knew they'd be the first targets, especially by those cruel os who think that money is better than helping... chae walks up to the button and hits it, before returning to the os team. "alright." one of the os announced. "let's just eliminate one player on each pillar, alright? i vote to eliminate player 125. she's on drvgs!" another o agreed. "yeah, let's eliminate her first. player 333, do the job for us. plus, we can't eliminated player 222 and her baby right now because of 456..." the baby and yoona... at least they were safe for this round... but worries started forming in my mind about the next two rounds. i looked at yoona, sitting on the middle of the platform with bea. wonjin pov why? why me? why are they plotting to eliminate ME first? at least, i had made it to the finale... but i still have to make ine proud of me... i watched as chae grabbed the pole, stepping forward. i had to save my life for her... i pleaded, "why? why does it always have to be ME?" my hands were shaking... chae coldly responded, "you have to... or else we'll i d!3. i had no choice." i turned back. ine walked straight towards me... her? she was coming to save me from this mess? b-but... i had failed her. why would she forgive me now? tears dropped from my face. "i'm sorry, ine." i apologized. i was still in shock, and sadness at the same time. ine smiled. "let's go" she commanded me as she held out her hand. i grabbed it... and suddenly, i was pulled down, her hand still holding mine. i can't believe it... i was dy!ng with the girl i loved. chae pov i stood at the front of the pillar, having just pushed wonjin off to her d3... but my mind felt only empathy for her. she shouldn't have p3r!shed here in the first place. i shouldn't have been the one to k!ll her. i only voted o this time because i knew yoona... my love of my life... she wasn't interested in me anymore... because of her friend... i should've just peeked in that room... i should've seen the number... i shouldn't have teamed up with hika in the first place... we all moved on to the next platform after the time ticked and hit zero. i knew i had to k!ll all of these os on the next platform, just like i did to all of those innocent people... miri, elena, and mlst recently wonjin ... i finally looked at yoona, staring at me with a cold expression. bea joined, also sharing yoona's skeptical look... author's note : one down guys four more to go
