hihihihi it's me again after a month <//3 anyways HIYA PEOPLE and yeah. i've been doing good so far but the schoolwork IS STRESSING ME OUT but i'll get through it and I really hope that i'll make it through this school year if possible track season is starting in early february so i'm honestly excited for that BUT ANYWAYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.. this update is going to change some topics here. i want to raise awareness of ICE. as you might know, ICE is government-based and is used to arrest, detain and deport immigrants that have violated the rules. HOWEVER, NOT ONLY THAT THEY ARE I JUST FOUND OUT THAT ICE IS SO MESSED UP FOR DOING THIS.. NOT ONLY ARE THEY GOING TO DO THAT TO PEOPLE BUT ALSO YOUR ETHNICITY/RACE AND BASICALLY SKIN COLOR IS A FACTOR FOR THE "illegal immigrant standards". AND IT DOESN'T MATTER IF UR LEGAL AND YOU'LL GET TAKEN AWAY IF U FIT THE "illegal immigrant standards and criteria" I'M HONESTLY LEGIT SCARED FOR MY LIFE LIKE IF ICE COMES...LIKE EVEN THE CITIZENSHIP PAPERS WON'T WORK..PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GET TAKEN AWAY NO MATTER WHAT. ALSO.. EVEN IF U HAVE A GREEN CARD (if you don't know what that is, it's smth that proves u are a legal to be in the US), U CAN STILL BE DETAINED AND POTENTIALLY DEPORTED EVEN WITH A GREEN CARD. honestly, stay safe out there and always carry some proof that u are a legal citizen to ice and when they come to your house or whatever, do not open the door or talk and speak because we have rights to do so and THE LESS TALKING, THE BETTER. and tip, ask the ICE people "am I free to go" because it will HELP U AND UR LIFE. also ASK THEM IF THEY HAVE A WARRANT AND REMAIN POLITE TO THEM AND NEVER LIE ABOUT OUR STATUS AS IT CAN BE EVEN WORSE. if they want to SEARCH UR HOME, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SAY NO AND SAY "I do not consent to search" AND IF THEY SEARCH ANYWAY, WRITE DOWN WHAT HAPPENS FOR EVIDENCE. I've heard that people were separated from their own families and I SERIOUSLY do not want that to happen to me, my friends or anyone really. so stay safe out there and always look at your surroundings for any strange issues or anything weird that is going on. if you see ICE on the streets, MOVE AND GO TO A SAFE SPACE because if you are outside and you might think that you've saw them, YOU ARE GOING TO BE A TARGET FOR THEM TO SEARCH YOU. honestly, my country is really bad, like they say that you have guaranteed freedom here when people are struggling for their lives not just about ICE but about the government shutdown that just happened recently that limits the amount of food given to families and THAT HONESTLY REALLY BAD. do what you can to donate by chance because there are low income families that are struggling to make ends meet and awful people assume them that they are poor and that they don't study IS SO SO SO SO SO MESSED UP LIKE GO GET A LIFE, especially to the homeless, like you don't know what they've been through, so DON'T JUST ASSUME THAT THEY'RE HOMELESS BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T STUDY OR WHATEVER THE CRAP THOSE MESSED UP PEOPLE HAVE. PEOPLE CAN BE HOMELESS WHEN THEY LOSE THEIR FAMILY. THEY CAN BE HOMELESS WHEN THEY'RE YOUNG BECAUSE THEY LOST THEIR PARENTS. i've seen enough people (including my family) tryna assume that the homeless are homeless because they didn't "study".. WELL WHAT IF THEY WERE SMART BUT THEY COULDN'T PAY FOR THE BILLS AND GOT EVICTED BECAUSE THEIR JOB DIDN'T SUPPORT THEM.. LIKE THATS INSANELY MESSED UP. please please please if you can, try to spread the awareness about ICE and the government shutdown <3
