Lizzie supposed this was supposed to make her feel joy. She was still mad at Joel. He could've done so many other things when he found out. Be the loyal boyfriend she had needed. And he had just run... And now Lizzie was making his life miserable just like he made hers miserable. And yet... it felt hollow somehow. She felt hollow. Like there was a space where triumph and joy should be. But there wasn't. Just hollow emptiness. And well.. no triumph. Etho knew he was running out of time. He- Oh for- Why did he still love Joel?! He'd broken up with Joel to distance himself from him. Because he had known that their relationship was doomed from the start. No one ever heard of a royal and a servant working out. And so... Lizzie heard a sigh. She looked up from her book, placing it on the fountain's edge. There was someone there. When she got up to get a closer look she saw it was... Etho? Maskless and um- wow- He was... really... h0t. Not that Lizzie had feelings for him. She liked Cleo. Only Cleo. She couldn't suppress a gasp though. A gasp that Etho, heard clear as day... He pulled his mask up urgently but it was clear she'd already seen. "H- Why do you hide it?" Etho sighed, Well... not point in lying now that she'd seen. "I want people to like me for being Etho. Not because I look like this. Joel loved me long before that. Even after everything I've done to him. He still loves me." Maybe- Just maybe she'd misjudged Joel... "I- Do you still love him?" "Yes-" "Go! Interrupt the wedding! Tell him you love him!" "What-" "You have a week! Interrupt the ceremony!" He looked terrified, "What if it's too late-" "He still loves you- It's not tooo late! It's never too late! Go! Now!" And Etho ran. She had made the right decision. Because that awful, empty hollow feeling was replaced with joy.
