600 moons ago (50 years), three brothers named Cliff, Cedar and Cave formed three clans: CliffClan, who lived on the seacliffs, CedarClan, who lived in the forest, and PineClan, who lived in the pine forest. Cliff and his group of five and Cedar were killed by foxes. Cedar's seven cats he'd recruited survived, and Cave. who had survived by hiding in a network of caves, took them in. He and his cats made their home in the caves and in the forest surrounding them. Cave named his Clan after the caves that had protected him, his mate and his Clan.
