shoutout to @XaosKing my only friend in scratch ;-; please share this with others! read the notes and credits :) i spent 2 hours on that
The Scratch algorithme is honestly so unfair ;-; Like u can spend hourss or even days on a project, and barely anyone sees it. Meanwhile, some random proj with a basic idea gets tons of attension. It feels like the algorithme is picking favs, and that’s just not cool. When u put effort into something, u want at least a fair chance. But Scratch doesn’t rlly give everyone the same shot at being seen. This totally kills motivation for a lot of ppl. Why should we even try if no one’s gonna notice? :/ I’ve seen so many friends just give up cuz their projects got buried. It’s like the algorithme is pushing us away instead of bringing us in. The lack of motivation is slowly killing creativity, fr. Scratch was supposed 2 be a place for imagination, but it feels more like a popularity contest. And contests aren’t fair when the rules are hidden or broken. Some projects with barely any effort still go viral, and that hurts. Meanwhile, real creative stuff is ignored :( That’s sooo discouraging, esp for new users who just joined. They wanna feel welcome, but instead they feel invisible. Imagination only grows when it’s appreciated. If ppl don’t get feedback or views, they’ll stop creating. And once imagination dies, what’s even the point of Scratch?? Scratch needs 2 fix the algorithme to give EVERYONE a fair chance. Maybe projects could be rotated more randomly. Or maybe boost projects from ppl who don’t have many views. Literally anything would be better than this rn. Right now it feels like the same users keep winning over & over. And that makes Scratch feel less like a community and more like a closed club. We’re supposed 2 share ideas, not fight for scraps of attention. But the algorithme makes us feel like we’re invisible. That’s why so many ppl are losing motivation :c If Scratch doesn’t fix this soon, it risks losing the creativity that made it special in the first place :) That’s why I’m actually making a community on Scratch, hoping that if enough of us come together, Scratch will finally notice and fix this prob. Cuz honestly… we all deserve better <3
