She has 3 great friends: Lilah, Olivia and Max. 11, Amelia, She/her Amelia is bullied for her red hair and starts dying it blonde-tipped so people think its natural. Max notices and is sceptical, but Amelia's friends don't know she is being bullied, so they think she is getting moody because of puberty. 11½, Amelia, She/her Amelia completely dies her hair blonde without her mom's consent causing a massive fight in her house. She also puts foundation (make-up) over her freckles. She stops socialising and her bullying gets worse, with it getting physical. Olivia gets her periods and Amelia starts worrying about hers. 12½, Amelia, She/her Summer camp at Woody Glade! Amelia totally resets, loving life again and optimistically seeing things. Max starts getting closer to her (romantically) but Olivia moved away (physically). Lilah was a honourary scout and got to sleep in the fancy high school cabins, along with Max and Amelia. Plus cool tan! 13, Amelia, She/her, Questioning Back to school! (High school/middle school, this world works differently.) Now officially with Max, Amelia starts to wonder about herself. She has stopped thinking about her body like when she was 11 but now her identity. Lilah comes out as a demigirl and Amelia starts researching LGBTQ+ with the help of Lilah.
