Story: "Avalanche!" Snow rushed around me. I opened my eyes as I was hefted up by my scruff. "What's going on, Mama?" I asked, panicked. She leapt from rock to rock nimbly. "An avalanche." She said. "We'll be fine." I was not convinced. She carried me over to a rock, setting me upon it's smooth surface. It poked out from the rushing snow. "Mama loves you. Be strong." Tears streamed from her eyes as the snow's inevitable grip seized her. "Mama? Mama!" That was it. That was all. Snow rushed over me, carrying me away, and her words echoed in my mind.
