Woohooo!!! This should just be renamed "The longest Thursday" I swear Friday will happen (just not for a while lol)
NOTICE: this chapter contains what some might imply as bullying, and some sad topics THURSDAY (evening) I jump up out of my bed and race downstairs, I don't even tell my dad I'm leaving, just out the door. I grab my bike and get to the park in nearly five minutes flat. I see Autumm sitting on a park bench, it looks like she's been crying.. "Autumm!! Are you okay?" I ask, now sitting next to her to listen. She sniffs, and replies, "I think I just had the worst day ever.. This morning, my parents sprung on me that we might be moving soon, and they want me to see the new school I would be going to if we did.." She takes a break to compose herself, before adding, "Some jerk at that snobby school yanked my tail and it broke..." She sobs, and I touch her shoulder to try and comfort her. She continues, "a-and I tried to come out to my parents... but t-they..." She gives up using words and just crumples into a ball, leaning on my shoulder while she cries. Finally, I ask, "What did you mean by "come out"? I thought your parents already knew you were a therian?" She thinks for a minute, before speaking, " They do know.. but... what they didn't know.. I'm, uh, non-binary.." They look down, as if im going to be mad at them for this. "Do you think I'm not going to support you? Of course im going to use the right pronouns and correct anyone that makes a mistake" They immediately brighten, and then look really flustered for a moment, before hugging me. "Thank you" they whisper, and I feel happy. Like genuinely happy. We talk for a while and they say that their going to come back to school tomorrow, and that they really hope they don't actually move, and then we go our separate ways. It's dark by now, so I bike home as fast as I can. Turns out, my dad didn't even notice I'd left, he was still in his study. What i was not expecting, was seeing Josh, pacing around in the living room, holding woodchip. He looks.. worried. He sees me, looks relieved, then scowls in hopes I don't notice and goes back up to his room, taking Woodchip with him. I walk up the stairs to my room, and finally, after the longest Thursday ever, go to sleep. End of chapter 7
