To whom it may concern, no, I did not quit Scratch. I may have gone completely radio silent for a little over a month, sure, but I'm still here. Just no refs, no animations, no coping, nothing. Last project, I described running into sorta a wall with my motivation, and I regret to inform the wall is still there. I still can't really get myself to create as of now for several reasons. For one, not a lot has happened here on Scratch for a while. Nothing huge and inspiring. Just a lotta the same stuff. For two, school started back up, and I'm in two college level classes. It's not a valid excuse for my inactivity yet, since the classes haven't been too difficult yet, but I imagine they will be. But the final reason is a new one: I recently picked up a game on Steam... ...and I ABSOLUTELY hyperfixated on it. I STILL AM. ITS BEEN A MONTH. No game I have ever played has caught my mind in such a trap. I LOVE the game I picked up and it has absolutely siphoned all of my art focus. My past artworks, while scarce, have completely been fanarts for the game. The characters are great, the gameplay is great, and the story....well, the game's early access, it's not quite done. But why haven't I been posting them here? Why haven't I spoken about it? What game? Unfortunately, that's the next hurdle. While the game isn't super severe by any measures, it is riddled with considerably suggestive designs - designs which I believe cross the line between what's okay and not on Scratch. Not only that, but the game's community is nothing short of vile. It's crazy to think I'm an outlier for being appropriate. In short, I'm not comfortable to - nor likely allowed to - post about this game on scratch, even if I keep things SFW. It's just a little too much to obey the site's guidelines. I'm not even going to mention the game's name, either. Just in case. I will keep my hyperfixation to Tumblr. In a way, part of the problem with my Scratch inactivity is simply me maturing. I am getting closer to being an adult, after all. But yeah, for the time being, I'm still trying to will up the energy to continue making OC refs. So for those of you still waiting, I'm terribly sorry I was silent for so long. That being said I unfortunately probably won't make something foreseeably soon, either. However, I do have some very good news! I am in the process of making a Youtube channel! I had picked up OBS studio to record and DaVinci Resolve to edit. I'll eventually be up on there, gaming away! However, once again, my hyperfixation is steering me. So far I have 9 recordings, all on that one game that I can't seem to have my mind escape. It requires several run-throughs to 100% its current iteration. So I'm unsure if I can even share my channel here later on. Idk. Anyways, this was just an update project - just something long overdue posting since I haven't done anything for so long. And likely the drought will continue.
