ꔛ opening the file... looks interesting... ♪ྀི ⎙ file name: tips for auditionees a quick little intro ˳⠀⠀˳⠀⠀˳ hii files (??) this is ishi, and this is my first article (we cheer) this article is pretty straightforward as a company ceo, and a s-pop idol myself, i've auditioned at so many companies and have viewed many auditions too i noticed quite a trend in those who didn't get in, so i'll address the general factors and give tips! ೀ contents: ꨄᮢ 001 : be loud ꨄᮢ 002: mic quality ꨄᮢ 003: don't sing high notes ꨄᮢ 004: be organised ꨄᮢ 005: be confident ꨄᮢ 006: include diversity ೀ 001 ➜ be loud : ok so when i say this, i don't mean shout. what i do mean is that when you sing / rap, don't do it quietly otherwise ppl won't be able to hear your pretty voice </3 a lot of the time when i auditioned, when the results would come out, a lot of companies would mention the sound and mic quality (more on that later) and as someone who has reviewed auditions, a lot of the time the reason why ppl didn't get picked was simply because i couldn't hear them ೀ 002 ➜ mic quality : looping back to the first idea, your mic quality also matters if your mic makes scratching noises or adds unnecessary background noise, it distracts the listeners from your actual voice , and can make your voice sound really bad when it's not i remember when the results for BLISS9 came out, i asked the ceo, yuzu, what i could've done to improve, and she mentioned that i should be more loud AND that my mic wasn't the best so i asked her what i shld use instead, and she replied with this place called vocal remover dot org ^__^ and trust me, it's GOLD like it actually works rly well, and there are other features on there apart from recording your voice. so thank you yuzu!! just don't use the crusty, default mic you have on your phone, ipad / tablet or laptop ೀ 003 ➜ don't sing high notes : now what do i mean by this? well, everyone has their vocal range, and there are so many songs out there with different pitches or tones a lot of the time, ppl who audition include songs that include high notes, and as a general consensus, i will say this: do not sing high notes if you know you can't do them if you have to strain your voice to do a high note, then you probably shouldn't try in the first place instead, stick to whatever's comfortable and easy for you, and just sing confidently with that trust me, stability is better than forced high notes this applies to low notes too, and just notes you know you can't easily do without training / practice ೀ 004 ➜ be organised : a lot of the time, the audio files in audition folders are not named with the song this can be confusing for ceos when they're looking through, as they won't know what the name of the song is to review it honestly, this isn't rly that big of a problem, as most ceos just listen to all the files (like me) but it's js to make your audition folder look cleaner and neat also, keep ur vocals, raps, and other stuff in different sprites, just so it's easier to differentiate ೀ 005 ➜ be confident : this topic is heavily connected with and again, when you sing, be confident don't sound hesitant, otherwise ceos will think you have a hard time singing and will deem you as unfit for the idol role if you're singing in a language you don't know, just practice the lyrics you want to sing but speaking it out loud first, then trying to sing it then record once you feel ready also, sing songs you know there's no point in trying to sing a song you don't like if you sing a sing you like and that you're confident you can sing it, you'll sound 100x better as not only can you sing well, but you also know the song, so your timing and pitch may essentially be perfect or great (to some extent) ೀ 006 ➜ include diversity : not all the songs have to be k-pop a lot of groups out there are not based on k-pop lookalikes, so if you have a variety of languages and pitches in your audition folder, it can make your audition folder more diverse and make you look like you're comfortable with any language that ofc, doesn't mean you should have no k-pop, as s-pop is essentially a role-play of the k-pop industry, and we've only just began to see a rise in the use of non k-pop lookalikes just be diverse, and sing whatever you feel like you can do the best in ೀ final outro ♡ looks like we reached the end! thank you for staying so long see you next time ✦
