He'd witness injustice, hear cries for help, and his giant paws would freeze. "What if I make it worse?" "What if I fail again, like with Pip?" The memory of his friend, small and vulnerable, was a heavy stone in his chest. This constant hesitation often led to bursts of jealousy – jealousy of cats who could act decisively, who didn't carry the weight of a ghost, who found joy in simple things without the gnawing doubt.
