Name: Oyster (was Shark) Gender: male Backstory: As a small child Shark was addicted to all things fish, and loved swimming. He lived in a small town with his parents. It was such a small town that everyone knew everyone, and so at the time Shark was known as the fun-loving little boi with blue-ish fur who could always be found at the little local pool. One day, the mayor, hoping to attract tourists announced the opening of a new aquarium. (which took up most of the town's budget) To no one surprise, Shark was always found staring at the fish with wide eyes. One day however, when no one was watching, Shark found the door that led up to the top of the tank unmanned, and so he skittered up the steps and found himself looking down at the sharks and the fish with no glass blocking his way. He half jumped half slipped into the tank and instantly felt just so happy, feeling like the fishes that nosed him curiously had already been his friends forever. It took him time to turn around and see guards and guards coming up the stairs, and his mother staring at him through the glass with bewilderment, screaming. the next thing Shark knew, he was being fished out of the water, carried down the stairs and thrown at his mother's feet infront of most of the town. The whole ordeal embarrassed Shark so much, that for the next few years he stuck to online tutoring and barely ever left the house. Most of the younger kids/teenagers still talked about him falling in, and after he had, the aquarium had been forced to close, bankrupting the town. When he became a teenager, he finally convinced his parents to let him dye his fur and change his name. He got his mum to dye his fur red, however the ink used was so cheap that it later faded and turned his fur purple. And he changed his name to Oyster, the furthest thing to Shark he could think of (that was still from the sea ofc) Up until he turned 16 he attended the town's highschool, but had no friends as no one knew him. half way through his 16th year, his parents both d!ed in a car accident. Oyster grieved them, but since he had no intention of having official paperwork of who he used to be stirring up the whole occasion again, he avoided adoption. He in inherited his parents' money and was able to afford a trip to a nearby city where he would begin a new life. upon arriving, he rented a cheap unit and found a job at a fast food restaurant. There he made two best friends: Cider and Sprite. Together the three would have all kinds of fun, mainly at an arcade just around the street from the unit that they all came to share. Oyster met a girl while on break at his job, and he invited her to join him and his friends at the arcade that evening. Her name was Pumkin and she began to hang out with Oyster alot more than he had intended. Oyster began to fall for her, as she was pretty and she knew it. It got so bad however to the point that Pumkin dared Oyster to break into a closed for repair service station and get her some snacks. Sprite and Cyder became worried about their friend and ended up stalking Pumkin until they came to find her with another guy in a park twining tails. They had no idea if Pumkin was with him or not, but they took a photo and showed it to Oyster, who was heartbroken. For a while Oyster didn't live with Cider and Sprite, he ended up living on the go, on benches at parks, on the sides of streets. One day he came across the city aquarium. His paws took him to the massive shark tunnel, where he stayed for hours. At one point a young dude came to tell him that the aquarium was closing for the night. Oyster asked if there was anyway to swim with the sharks and to his surprise, the guy (named Dolphin) secretly led him to the tank entrance. They both put on diving gear and until morning they swam. Dolphin and Oyster became the best of friends, and Oyster got a job at the aquarium, having to feed the sharks, and clean the tanks, meaning he would get to swim. Eventually he got back in touch with Cider and Sprite, and after introducing them both to Dolphin, they all continued to hang out around the city. art/code by me background for meme from google design belongs to song: everything sucks (nightcore)
