High attack speed is implemented in a jank way because of the engine's low fps. Throwing Knife has both a melee and ranged attack, the melee's spin speed functions similarly to dagger's attack speed (renamed to clarify that it doesn't effect knife throw speed), and the throwing portion increases number of thrown knives, similar to bow but it attacks in one fan of knives instead of in volleys (spread is even across ~90°, spread increases with more knives). The main selling point of Throwing Knife is how it scales, since neither of its methods of attack are self-scaling, but instead, melee hits scale the ranged attack, and ranged hits scale the melee attack. Both the spin speed scaling and thrown knife scaling should have decay like dagger and bow usually do. Inspired by shuriken, a ranged weapon that can also do damage with the shuriken that is held and not thrown, I conceptualized a weapon that is a hybrid of ranged and melee.
