This is the Zelda Lore of Raya. All of this is fiction and a part of my imagination.☂︎ Part 2 coming soon! Raya was born in Hyrule Castle—the long-awaited child of Zelda and Link. From the very beginning, she carried high expectations, and so she began training and exploring the kingdom at a very young age. At just three years old, Raya witnessed her father and the royal warriors fighting off a small tribe of Bokoblins. The sight amazed her, filling her with admiration and determination. A month or two later, her parents began taking her on journeys across Hyrule. She visited every village—Gerudo, Kakariko, Hateno, and more. Sometimes Pura would come to see her, and Link even showed her a safe section of the underground. She explored stables, traveled to sky islands, and started to understand how her kingdom truly worked. When she turned five, her official training began. She learned to use the paraglider and practiced basic combat. Zelda read with her in the library every other day, while Symin came to teach her every five days. Raya trained beside the castle guards, and by the age of seven she fought her first real battle, bravely defeating several Bokoblins. Zelda and Link knew this was a sign: their daughter was meant to be prepared. By the time she was ten, her parents made a difficult choice. They sent her to Gerudo Town, where she could train with the best equipment, learn with children her own age, and grow stronger. For two years, Raya lived in the Gerudo palace, attending classes, training daily, and earning respect. But near the end of her stay, her trainer ordered her to defeat a Molduga. She had fought one before, so she believed she could manage. Yet during the fight, her strength suddenly drained away, and she fainted. When she awoke, she was no longer in Gerudo Town. She was surrounded by three Yiga Clan members. Though she defeated them, she had no way to escape. Disguising herself in one of their uniforms, she remained trapped among them for months, pretending to be loyal while secretly plotting her escape. Finally, after three long months, she was sent on a task alone—to gather bananas. Raya saw her chance. She ran. For three days she hid in caves, surviving on scraps and fighting off Bokoblins, until at last she reached Gerudo Town. At first, the guards nearly attacked her, mistaking her for an enemy, but when she removed her mask, they rushed to welcome her back. Riju herself honored Raya, telling her she had served the Gerudo well and was ready for her next path. With an escort of the best Gerudo guards, Raya traveled home. After seven long days, she finally reached Hyrule Castle. Her parents were overwhelmed with pride and relief. She had survived—but from then on, she was forbidden to leave the castle walls. From ages ten to fourteen, Raya poured herself into study, learning the full history of Hyrule and her ancestors. But by fourteen, danger returned. Ganon’s presence began to stir again. He had long been planning his return, disguising himself even as a Molduga to manipulate her capture by the Yiga years earlier. Raya was the target; through her, Hyrule’s strength and spirit could be broken. To protect her, Zelda and Link allowed her only two safe places: the castle or Lookout Landing. It was at Lookout Landing that Raya met Galens, a boy two years older who quickly became her closest companion. He understood her in ways no one else could. They trained together, side by side, growing stronger as the threat loomed. But then, seemingly out of nowhere, Ganon vanished. His shadow lifted from Hyrule. For the first time, Raya was free. Free to live, to train openly with the villages and warriors, and to follow her heart. And she chose to do so with Galens—her partner in battle, and in life.
