XD originally, it was going to be a pmv, but i simply didn’t have enough time for that, so behold, a collection of artworks! [ and yes, as i pledged in the comments of the studio for this silly guy, i did burn myself out lol… ] anyway… ⛤ images! ⛤ 01. ref 02. anthro ref 03. silly boi! 04. sketch 05. messy scene 06. messy drawing 07. trapped!! 08. full 09. halfbody 10. scene! the grass took ages :,) i did do some traditional art but the pics won’t load up, oh well lol :( name: Mesa age: millions of years old pronouns: he / him [ also uses it / its ] species: dino-dog personality: • brave • loyal • gullible he physically and mentally didn’t really age, he’s very old but he doesn’t know this, he’s forgotten most of his past but he does remember small details! design notes: i gave him a neck, and added another couple of rib bones! also, in some of the drawings he has velociraptor feet :3 ⛤ backstory: ⛤ ‘ once, in a time young and unshapen, lived the great paleostoric age, a period in which massive, lumbering beasts dragged their scale-ine tails amongst herds of wandering herbivores and the raucous cries of predatory reptiles swung in the air. but this was to come to an end. meanwhile, above the din of these prehistoric creatures, above the clouds and above the sky itself, The Deities were looking for their newest creation. It was merely a pup, innocent and small, in shades of moon grey and brown, and great gaping amber eyes, and had found itself sleepy. With no bed to go to, among the stars, it had found an asteroid to curl up in. The Deities, meanwhile had no luck in finding the pup. Searching among their orbiting rocks, they cast an asteroid aside, the very one that the drowsy pup had curled up in. The asteroid was flung so fiercely that it was flung from orbit of The Deities reside and sent at a million light-miles to Earth. It plummeted into the Solar System and dropped quicker than a rain. The crater was enormous. Flames from friction engulfed the surface. The great beasts were mostly wiped to extinction from the shock of the crash or the inferno surrounding. Those that survived adapted to their environment. The pup, however, lay crumpled in the crater. Minus And Majus, the deity of the judging of the cycle of souls, visited the him by night. He awoke in a dream, a strange place in between life and death. “Little pup. You have caused the extinction of the Great Age of Dinosaurs. But it is not entirely your fault. Therefore i will give you another life in this body. In an age of forgetfulness, you will awake, but until then you will sleep a dreamful sleep Your body will not be as you remember it, a mix of the parts you destroyed. On your head you will carry the weight of your mistakes and thus be crowned the caretaker and preserver of the past. Your name will be Mesa.” and with a blink of its four bulging eyes, Minus And Majus sent Mesa into a dismal sleep of wonder, an uncanny, nostalgic kind in which he forgot and remembered in turn. ’
