Yes, there were some contributing factors in his childhood to make him turn out the way he did, but it should not be any excuse for his actions. What he went through? Bad, there's no argument for that. Rubyfield is a horrible mother and she clawed his eye and that had an impact on Aspen but he could've changed and he chose not to and took it out on his kits like his mother did to him, but it's still bad.
