Trigger warnings for death. If this upsets you, please make the right decision and close this tab. Pinefaith knew it without knowing. She was dying. It was time. They had so many things xe wished she could've done. So many regrets. Those little kits, not even a moon old, the ones she'd found on the border; they wouldn't grow up with anyone to be there for them. She hoped they would be okay. Zinniablossom. Astermoth's adopted daughter. And her daughter too, they supposed. How had xe only come to terms with that now? Rayray. Sunbeamear. She wished they had spent more time with her. Her brother. Oak... something. She hadn't even known him that well. It was too late to apologize for being so absent. It was too late for everything. "Oh, Astermoth. I'm sorry." It was time. The shadows of the dark forest were calling her. They didn't feel ready. But sometimes you just had to take a leap of faith. Pinefaith closed her eyes, and stilled.
So. Let's talk about Pinefaith. They were my first Gens character, and it's been a wild ride. Pinekit was a certified shy guy. And then her apprenticeship rolled around, and she turned into this jaded, burnt out, never smiling cat. Pinepaw became Pineear, and they pretty much just became a hardcore darkforest zealot and Urchinclan supporter. In the blink of an eye, xe were a warrior. Pinekeeper. And slowly, slowly, they gained some happiness. She fell in love. Became mates with Astermoth. An elder, Pinekeeper changed her name to Pinefaith. And then, finally, died from old age. --- My time with Pinefaith has been amazing. But when I got the message that she had died, I knew I was ready to let them go. It was her time, and I can't wait to see what the next adventure brings. --- My thanks to these amazing people: @MischiefMistcat Thank you for being Pinefaith's only friend, mate, and for just being an awesome person. @-Shimmerflame- Thank you for hosting that litter and letting me claim Pinekit. @-Espieloveswarriors- Thank you for roleplaying Sunbeam. Thank you for becoming Pinefaith's adopted daughter. And thanks to all those other people who trained with Pinefaith and hunted alongside her, those who scarred xem, and those who supported them. Because I couldn't have made it this far without you all.
