What Type of Character Should I Make? Not sure where to start? Try picking a type of character that sounds fun to you! Here are a few common (and cool) archetypes to spark ideas. The Heir with a Heart You’re royalty — born to lead, raised to fight, trained for war. But you care. Maybe too much. Will you follow your bloodline’s legacy or make your own path? Good for: Kingdom drama, internal conflict, leadership plots Kingdoms: Valor, Radiance, Virtue Ranks: Prince, Princess, Noble Heir, Royal Guard The Outcast with Secrets You don’t belong. Maybe you were exiled. Maybe you chose to run. You know something others don’t — and you plan to use it. Good for: Mysterious backstories, solo plots, dark secrets Kingdoms: Any (or rogue) Ranks: Rogue, Spy, Fallen Noble The Loyal Knight You believe in the kingdom. You serve the crown. But even loyalty has limits — especially when things start to fall apart. Good for: Political conflict, action scenes, betrayal plots Kingdoms: Valor or Virtue Ranks: Knight, General, Guard The Ambitious Climber You started with nothing — but you’re not staying that way. Through charm, strategy, or manipulation, you’ll rise. No matter who falls first. Good for: Intrigue, betrayal, character growth Kingdoms: Radiance, Virtue Ranks: Spy, Diplomat, Royal Advisor The Dreamer or Seer You see what others don’t. Maybe it’s visions. Maybe it’s belief. Maybe it’s madness. You follow the whispers of prophecy… even if no one else does. Good for: Fantasy, prophecy plots, magical lore Kingdoms: Virtue, Rogue, Radiance Ranks: Healer, Mystic, Relic Follower The Wildcard You’re unpredictable. You might be funny, dangerous, chaotic, or just a little strange. You don’t play by the rules — and that might make you powerful. Good for: Surprise moments, comic relief, or shocking reveals Kingdoms: Any Ranks: Anything (even fake roles or disguises) Tips for Creating Your OC: Give them flaws — perfect characters aren’t fun to play Think about goals — what do they want? Why? Let them grow — they don’t have to stay the same forever Relationships drive story — connect with other OCs You don’t have to make a main character right away — even a side character can become legendary
