Original share date; Oct 23, 2024 Hey guys!! This has been a project in my mind for over 2 years, and I've been developing the plot since 2021! (jeepe gooba https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/429544645 https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/779202217) Enjoy! --------- Yui fell onto the ground face first as the hedge behind her exploded. Norin was nestled under her collar, snug and safe. Though, they were a bit rattled from the impact, they were unharmed. The same couldn't be said for Yui, though, as she'd scraped her left knee and elbow in the process. She whimpered at the stinging pain and picked grass bits and rocks out of the open wound. Norin crawled from under the fabric and pressed against Yui's face, the warmth of the tiny body keeping Yui awake. The Kimershe stayed there until she regained her strength, and scooped Norin into her arms. She turned to watch the maze as it burned, feeling a heavy nostalgia coursing through her. This is where she grew up, and although it may have not been a hospitable place, it offered her shelter and a place for rest, food and water. Speaking of food, the things she did get were often bitter, sour or spicy. She'd been introduced to 'cake' at one point, when she came across a small setup within the bracken. The man running it saw Yui with her half developed body, fully uncovered, and took her in for a day, to get her dressed and fed. That was where Yui discovered her love for sweets. I mean, it's a core tastebud. Of course she'd like sugar the most, but after being deprived of sugar her whole life, the love for it hit her, and hard. She made a goal, no, a vow to herself that she'd start the best bakery ever, and that the sweets would taste like the stars. Whatever that means. Yui began limping away from the wreckage, Norin in one paw, a fistful of dreams in the other. It was really just sleep dust from her eyes, but she liked to think it was crumbs of dreams. Yui's nose began to drip a brighter color of her muted red fur, and she wiped it away with her free paw, neon red smearing. Norin frowned with her eyes and jumped in her friend's hand. "S'fine Norin, just bleeding a little." Yui assured her. Norin looked skeptical and continued pressing her, in her warbled gibberish language. "I told you i'm fine, Norin! It's prolly just bruised, it'll heal up with magic soon anyway." Yui walked for a longer time, the blood clotting and stopping, but leaving the wounded areas muddy and dirty. Norin managed to make some sort of make-shift bandage with her silk, and it would tide Yui over until- "Oh my god?!" Another voice (Another kimershe?!) rang out across the landscape. Yui swiveled her head to see a grey and white cat with a teal hoodie running towards her. She smiled as wide as she could and waved at the first other Kimershe she'd ever met; before collapsing onto her face. Yui's eyes opened slowly, and squeezed shut after being blinded by a bright, white light. Instead of waking up completely, she observed her surroundings. With her eyes still closed, of course, she wasn't going to be blinded again. The surface beneath her was.. warm. and soft. That was a first. The wounds she had were properly bandaged, and she could barely even feel them anymore. That was a first, too. Her body was enveloped in a warm clothing, though the back of her neck felt a bit lumpy. A collared shirt, most likely then. She heard talking, the voice of Norin's warbled voice pulled her to her senses and she sat up. Keeping her eyes shut. "..Is... is she awake??" The unknown kimershe (another kimershe!!! another kimershe!!!!) said. Norin warbled out a reply and shrugged. Yui heard footsteps approaching, and before she could be touched, she shot backwards. "I'm awake! The lights are just blinding me so i'm gonna keep them closed now." The kimershe walked away and Yui could hear a few clicking noises. "I've dimmed the lights, you can open your eyes now." Yui was just a little skeptical, but regardless, she- although slowly- opened her eyes. They hadn't lied, the lights were barely shining, but still illuminated the room enough for her to see. There were shelves and other things, and little plants hung from the ceiling. She was also able to get a good look at her clothes; A green collared shirt with jean-shorts and rainbowdash socks. The other kimershe stood by Norin, who was perched on top of a lamp (it was off, so it didn't burn her feet.). "Hi." it spoke. Yui's eyes brightened tenfold, shining nearly as bright as the 'blinding lights' she complained about earlier. "Oh my gosh!!! it-it's another person! Like- actually!!" She bounced on the bed and off the walls. "Norin, I'm not going crazy again, right? You can see them this time?!" Norin nodded and rolled her tiny eyes. Yui squealed and pounced onto the poor kimershe and nuzzled into them. "..And my parents wonder why I moved out." They mumbled. (Continued in N&C!)
The black and white cat pulled Yui off of her with a bit of struggle, she would not let go-! Finally peeling Yui off, she placed her on the bed, where she sat dangling her feet. "I'm sorry for not giving a proper introduction, my name is Koi of Cloud Den." "Your name is 'Koi of Cloud Den? That's like naming a baby something like.. Noelle, infant of Breelyn." Koi rolled her eyes. "It's just my lineage, my name is actually just Koi. Call me Koi. Your name is..?" "Oh, I am Yui! Yui Saffeur I think. I dunno, I don't use the last name much so I kinda forget how it's spelt and pronounced, but yeah!" "You don't- you don't know how to pronounce your own name????" Yui shrugged and nodded. She bounced off the bed and sped around the room, prodding and poking into everything she could see. "H-Hey-??" Koi tried to grab her, but the red ball of fur sped around rapidly, dodging every attempt. Eventually she finished and dusted her hands. "Oh yeah, this will make the PERFECT kitchen!" "Say what now." Yui turned and faced Koi, beaming. "For my bakery! Didn't Norin fill ya in??" She turned to glare at Norin, who looked away sheepishly. "..okay, I guess she didn't fill you in. It's ok though, I can tell you all about our super amazing future together!" "What." "First of all, we're gonna replace this bed with an oven! ..no, two ovens!" She sped over to another corner with a shelf. "And over here, we'll put a cabinet with ingredients!" She sped over to a cabinet. "This can stay, we'll probably put in frostings and spices and stuff!" This continued, Yui running over to different areas and explaining her vision, Koi watching dumbfoundedly. Then, the purple ring around her tail began rapidly spinning around, and like a helicopter, she rose into the air, the wind buffeting the little potted plants' leaves and blowing loose paper across the room. When she hit the ceiling, she seemed to combust, and the room flashed white. Koi shielded wheir eyes from the brightness. The light eventually faded, and Yui floated back to the ground. She tapped Koi lightly and when they opened her eyes, she saw in place of her shelves and bed, an entire kitchen. The only thing left behind were a few hanging pots, and the girl had managed to make the kitchen scheme match almost perfectly, with a few unnecessary accents of pink, but still. "I liked the plants, they remind me of the maze." She brushed a leaf with her paw. "Wow," Koi said, after a while. "This looks.. nicer than I thought it would." "Wait, how did you think it would look?" "Well.." she gestured at Yui."I thought there'd be more.. pink." Yui looked at herself and then at Koi. "Oh, cuz of the red? Nah, i'm more of a blue kinda person. Anyways! Welcome to Moldy Pizza!" She gestured around with her hands. "Well, the kitchen part of it." "..You're calling your bakery 'Moldy Pizza'??" "Yup!" "Ok, good luck." Whey stood to walk out of the room, but Yui stopped them by grabbing their arm. "Yui, wh-" she turned. Stay here. Do as I say. Help me. Koi's eyes widened as she observed the girl now. Her eyes were pitch black, and in place of her pupils were two red dots. Koi shook slightly and pulled her arm away. "O-Okay." Immediately, the demeanor changed and her eyes went back to their normal teal. She adjusted her collar and brushed her pants straight. "Great! Come on, Norin!" She reached out to the spider, who also looked a little shaken up, but crawled into the girl's outstretched hand anyway. They skipped off into other areas of the house, likely to give it the same fate of the newly transformed kitchen, leaving Koi stunned where she stood. "Oh, I just got myself into something terrible, didn't I?"
