I stretched out in the warm afternoon sunlight, perched on the cushioned window seat. I stared wistfully out at the fields beyond. /How I wish to be beyond these four wall that stifle my true nature./ I mused, my gaze shifting to my paws. The longing to tear open a wild beast was growing stronger each day. But my "master" refused to comply, so I have found small ways to rebel. I jumped from the seat to the sliding glass door on the other side of the room, the sage green curtains calling me. Just waiting to be torn to shreds. Luckily for me, my owners were too ignorant and refused to get me declawed. That was an advantage to be certain. I lifted my left paw and in defiance, I brought my paw down, and tore a lengthy piece of curtain away. /Maybe they'll finally realize that I'm a force to be reckoned with./ "Bella!" The booming voice of the lady who thought she was my master screeched. "Stop right now!" I merely pretended not to notice and kept on shredding away until half of it was gone. A pair of strong hands lifted me up into the air. I wiggled around, trying to free myself. I bit and scratched until she released her vice like grip on my ribs. I meowed at the other small victory, licking my paw. "THIS IS IT BELLA!" She screamed in my face. "I'VE HAD IT!" I put on my most innocent face and let out a tiny mew. The hands picked me up again, not obeying when I scraped her arms to be set down. When I realized where I was going, I stopped struggling. She was putting me outside. As soon as I made the realization, she remarked: "If you can't behave, you'll have to be put out in the barn as a barn cat." /Of course! My plan succeeded./ I purred. /As I knew it would. Now I can escape this dismal place./
This was me just wanting to write from the perspective of an animal. :)
