Slowly grasping for consciousness, Thea felt a cold hand on her arm. Bolting upright, she yanked her arm away and snapped into a defensive position before she realized whose hand it had been. "Oh. Jenni, right?" The girl nodded. "Sorry if I scared you. I was trying to get you to wake up." Thea rubbed her temples and sighed. "It's fine," she said, looking around. "Did we get separated from everyone else?" "Yeah, I think so." The two appeared to be in a long hallway lined with framed pictures, which didn't make much sense- if they had fallen, Thea would expect them to be in a basement of some sort, but this looked like a normal mansion hallway. Remembering her walkie-talkie, Thea pulled it out of her jacket's pocket and spoke into it. [pov switch] "Lyra? You there?" The crackling, staticky voice startled Lyra out of their pacing. They pulled her walkie-talkie out of their pocket, almost dropping it in excitement, and yelled back. "Hi Thea! Over!" The other two people with them, Star and Ena, sighed in relief. "Is that the other detective?" Star asked. The walkie-talkie crackled back to life. "Hi, Lyra. I'm with Jenni right now, are you with anyone?" "Yeah, Star and Ena. Also, you need to say over! Over." A sigh came from the Thea's end of the conversation. "Now's not the time. Are there any clues to an exit near you?" "No, sorry. Over!" "Hey, did you say Jenni was over there? Can I talk to her?" Star said suddenly. Lyra handed her the walkie-talkie. "Hi, Jenni. You okay?" After a slight pause that was probably Thea handing Jenni the walkie, Jenni's voice came through. "Hi, Star. I'm fine." "Okay, that's good. I think we should walk around and try to find eachother, does that sound good to everyone?" Everyone gave their agreement, and Lyra signed off as the three of them began wandering through the maze-like corridors.
