I wake up and find myself in my bedroom after I’ve escaped. I guess I was so tired I just fell on the floor in my bedroom and went to sleep without remembering anything. Something’s strange, though. I don’t see my mom. Not my dad. Not even my sister. I decide not to worry about it, since they might be outside. I look outside, they’re still not there. I run into the woods near our house to look for them, still not there. I stand still and start crying, and that’s when someone sneaks up behind me, and starts dragging me by my hair. I start screaming and calling for help, but then they teleport to their base. They’re disguised, so this may be my family playing with me, who knows. I faint while they’re dragging me, and I wake up in a room, tied up. It’s the same room with the monsters, except, the monsters aren’t in the cage. My… family is. “This is what you get for trying to escape. Once you get captured, you’re here, forever.” They pull off their mask, it’s.. Stacey. I try to make up an excuse. “But what about my school? I’m losing good education by being here! Why do you want people to k!ll others anyway?” I say. “SILENCE!” Stacey says. She walks up to my parents cages. “Your choice. Stay here or,” she points to a bucket full of water. “you family will dr0wn.” She pours water on them, but it didn’t get to their faces yet. “KAT, DONT DO IT! DONT!!” My sister says. I see the water rise up, and then I give in, “Stop! Stop! I’ll do it. I’ll do it.” Stacey smirks and doesn’t stop the water. She stops it once it reaches the top, and I’m there, helpless. They untie me, and bring me to the arena. It’s already over for training? I’m stupid for believing them. My only hope is I’ll survive. Then I’ll build a life out of here… on… I start tearing up. On my own. They lied to me. They betrayed me. They manipulated me.
