She didn't know what to do. She was...lost. For the first time in sun's life, Cinder had no clue what to do. She looked around, when she noticed two cats bundled up in the distance...and a few paces away was a wolf. Her instincts kicked in, and she raced towards the wolf, trying to scare it off. The kits couldn't end up like them. Crissy wouldn't let that happen. She jumped up, scratching the wolf's face , before landing and biting the wolf's leg. It howled in pain, retreating, thankfully, but not without delivering a blow to Cinder. She landed on the sand with a thud, next to the sleeping kits. "You're mine now...Shellkit and Joykit...named after the two cats I failed to protect." she managed to choke out before their eyes forced themselves shut.
