Budget wasn’t passed due to democrats refusing to vote unless Trump renounced Medicaid cuts and expiration of parts of the ACA. Up to 4 million government employees will not be paid due to the government shutdown. Notes: I’m very conflicted on this. For one part, I think Medicaid and the ACA are very important to Americans, and many people rely on such resources. But, as POTUS, Trump now has authority to close whatever parts of the federal government he deems unnecessary. October 1st 2025: Jane Goodall dies at the age of 91. RIP. Government shutdown continues, causing heated political debates and more conflict than we can afford. Notes: the division of parties with the government shutdown is immense. Not to sound conspiratorial, but I think the government wants us to feel divided, so that we’re too focused on what’s on the surface to look below it. October 1st/2nd 2025: Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker calls for the invocation of the 25th amendment to remove Trump from office, citing his dictatorial policies and deteriorating health. Notes: I think it’s very unlikely that the Cabinet will agree to this, since it’s primarily republican. 10/3/25: Sean Combs sentenced to 50 months in prison. Notes: yeah no what BS is this. He deserved life. 10/4/25: Greta Thunberg has reported that she is being held hostage by Israel inhumanely, with reports of her being forced to pose for pictures with different flags and being wrapped in the Israeli flag.
