The Great Wolf and the Red Fox now watch outside the window, as their old friends walk away, maybe never even to be seen again. The Great Wolf starts mumbling something under his breath, as he now got ready for any fight thats going to come. "Uh, what are you doing?" Red Fox questions, seeing The Great Wolf put some g^ns and kn^ves in his belt. "Preparing. Somebody has to takeover this place. IF Eggman is still alive, then that means Project Carnage will be active again. So I must prepare for the worst." Now the Great Wolf threw a g^n to Red Fox. "I suppose you do the same." Red Fox nodded, gathering weapons to prepare for anything unexpected. "You ready for this Kev?" The Great Wolf asked Red Fox. "Born ready..." Red Fox had worry in his eye, hiding it behind a mask. How could they do this without the full squad? Red Fox was beginning to miss the rebellious members. "C'mon! What are you waiting for?" The Great Wolf hand signaled for Red Fox to come with him now. Red Fox took one look back at their group photo, before him and The Great Wolf jump out the window and onto the streets. The Great Wolf stuffed his mask into a trench coat he brought, and threw one to Kevin. Kevin also stuffed his mask into his trench coat and they both put hats on and looked down so nobody would recognize their faces. Once they entered the gates, it was already unlocked. "Heh, guess that was the real Egghead after all." The Great Wolf smirks and breaks the gate doors just for the fun of it. They now walk up to the doors and see the Metal guards were disabled. "I don't know how I feel about this..." Red Fox nervously stayed behind The Great Wolf. "Don't be nervous Red Wolf. All his Metal guards are disabled, another hint that he's really ded!" But just as he finished his sentence, something could be heard in the distance. CLANK! CLANK! CLANK! The doors closed shut, locking The Great Wolf and Red Fox inside. "Annnnnd maybe it was all a trap..." BAM! A red object came in flying into both The Great Wolf and The Red Fox. [Did you really think the boss was ded? Hah! What imbeciles. Eggman never dies (B)____] Project Carnage said, pulling out a curved knife. "I TOLD YOU THIS IDEA WAS BAD!" Red Fox screamed into The Great Wolf's face. "JUST DO YOUR BEST!" The Great Wolf now pulled out a g^n and started shooting at Project Carnage.
Project Carnage caught every single bullet and then, before The Great Wolf could blink, Project Carnage was right behind him. Luckily, thanks to his great reflexes, The Great Wolf turned around just in the nick of time to catch Project Carnage's knife. Red Fox ran over to help, but was punched straight in his guts by a new Metal bot. "Surprise!" Eggman's voice could be heard from the metal bot. "Oh... (s)___" Red Fox froze at the sight. "Guess I really SHOCKED ya huh?" The Metal Eggman zapped Red Fox, making him fall to the ground. "Yes, I did die, or well my body did. Right before I died, I was able to upload my consciousness into this advanced nanotech Metal Sonic!" Eggman explained. The Great Wolf was still too occupied with Project Carnage to notice what was happening with Red Fox. Red Fox now grabbed his g^n and threw it at the Metal Eggman bot, doing no damage to it at all. "BROTHER! YOU'RE BETTER THAN THIS!" The Great Wolf kept blocking the knife from Project Carnage. [No brother. In fact, your not even my brother, so don't call me that anymore. But you're wrong, this IS MY BEST!"] Project Carnage drops the knife into his other hand, now jabbing it into The Great Wolf. "ARGHHH," The Great Wolf yelled out, spitting some bl^^d onto Project Carnage. Red Fox saw what was happening and tried running to help The Great Wolf again, but Eggman caught Red Fox by his coat. "Let this be a lesson to you Orion. Never. EVER. Come back here again." The Metal Eggman bot smirks and creates a blade with his hands. Project Carnage gets The Great Wolf into a chkehold, making him watch what's about to happen. "NOOOOOOO!!!" Red Fox screamed for his life, trying to get away from the Metal Eggman bot. But, he was too late. SLICE! The Great Wolf watched as the Metal Eggman bot shoved the blade into Red Fox's back. Red Fox let out tears and started bl^^ding from his mouth. "KEVIN!!!" The Great Wolf unleashed a might amount of negative energy, knocking Project Carnage back and disintegrating the Metal Eggman bot. Red Fox now fell to the ground, bl^^ding out. Red Fox coughs, trying to let out one last word, but initially, he d*es of fatal injuries. The Great Wolf holds Red Fox close, his fur now started turning into negative colors. The Great Wolf was taking his true form, and turns to face Project Carnage who was just getting back up. To be Continued...
