The game is about the checks and balances. The rest is in the desc.: V The branches: executive: enforces the law. legislative: makes the law. judicial: interprets the law. More detail V The legislative branch is the branch responsible for creating the laws, with 2 houses: 100 senators (2 per state) and 435 house of representatives members (based on state population). if a house member/senator suggests a bill (proposed law) that a majority of the house votes for, it goes to the other house for a debate. if both houses approve, it gets sent to the president, who can veto it. this veto can be overridden with a 2/3 vote in both houses. senators have to be 30 years old and citizens for 9 years, while a house member has to be 25 and citizen for 7 years. The executive branch carries out the laws passed by the legislature. The president is the chief executive, with 4 year terms, 14 years of citizenship, and at least 35 years old. The president manages the military but does not declare war. The president has a cabinet of departments to assist them in their role. these are specialized in 1 thing, so if the president wasn't a good strategist, they could ask the department of defense (ah yes, defending where the enemies' home country is, totally defense) for strategic advisory. The judicial branch is led by 9 supreme court justices, who could be literally anyone, nominated by the president and approved by the legislature. the judicial branch's main role is to give justice to the people, with 3 types of courts. the first type is the district court, which is very common. but the plaintiff can appeal the case to the appellate court. the appellate court will review the district court's decision, and can take the case to the supreme court, whose decision is final. None of the branches are the most powerful, because of checks and balances.
NO REMIXING OK credit to my history teacher for giving us schoolwork lol THIS DOES NOT REPRESENT MY VIEW OF THE GOVERNMENT, ONLY A WATERED-DOWN EXPLANATION. MY HISTORY TEACHER HAS, ON MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS, BEEN THOUGHT TO SHARE HIS VIEWS. HE WAS JUST TEACHING. DON'T DO THE SAME TO ME.
