The development is going SUPER SMOOTHLY and I only have to code in Both Act 3 Bosses and a few more finishing touches then we'll be ready to release v0.8 later in June! Welome to Battle Lads! This is a game currently in beta, so it isn't fully developed yet (believe it or not) and in future updates I'll add more characters and Acts. HOW TO PLAY! ...really? there's a tutorial... whatever PC - WASD to Move, Mouse to shoot or slash. Arrow keys will be used to aim the target icon seen on mobile as another control option in v0.8. E and Q to use special abilities. Mobile: Use the control stick at the bottom right to move. Drag the target icon to change where you aim. Click on abilities to use them. Battle Lads is a shooter game where you play as many different characters made by me and my friends @CodeStickman and @Donut_lord13 . Acts are basically like stories. Enemies differ from every Act, but as of V0.5, there's only 2 Acts. Cutscenes and Credits are in-game, and are different depending on the Act you play. NEWEST BALANCE CHANGES! Buffs! Donut - Basic Attack damage. 4 --> 5 Donut - Fire Rate. 0.6 sec --> 0.5 sec Donut - Fighter Clone Damage. 12 --> 15 Donut - Gum Gum Balls Damage. 30 --> 35 UPDATES! v0.7.5: Donut is the 3rd and final character coming to the game before v1.0. Also, every character got a remodel, and Badges are Back, better than ever. Updated Game UI slightly and added a new Title Screen track. Also updated Bottle's Bullet design. (Released 29th March, 2026) v0.7: Added Elite Mode and did a complete enemy recode. This is only half of the recode since v0.9 will have a new feature that requires a recode to work. Also fixed many bugs. (Released 21st February, 2026) v0.6: Done a COMPLETE overhaul to the Title Screen, added the 'Gallery' section in 'Bonuses' that display bonus info about development and art. Also done a COMPLETE overhaul on the Enemy Journal. Finally, Added a setting to toggle the 'Danger Border'. (Released 23rd of January 2026) V0.5.5: Code has been Reworked, and his Code Drone ability is now a passive ability. (Released 20th December, 2025, but later in the day) V0.5: Added Act 2, Added Code as a character, Fixed many layering issues in the title screen, Buffed Bottle, Changed Bottle's sprite and tutorial, added an effect for getting low on HP and intensifies when you're even lower. Changed the Difficulties menu to look more polished. (Released 20th December 2025) V0.4: Added 4 difficulties, Easy, Normal, Hard and Impossible. Also fixed many bugs and added a Badge for beating Act 1 in Hard Mode. Also improved the PC experience and made the overall experience better.
