Hold down the left mouse button to move the tadpole/frog, which always points towards your mouse. Eat to grow. At first, you can only eat algae (the floating green blobs, not the inedible tall, skinny weeds), but once your size exceeds 125, you can eat flies (including mosquitoes) and pond skaters (pond skaters can eat you if your size is below 125). When a red line appears, get as far from it as possible; it means a fish is coming! Water bugs and dragonfly nymphs can eat you if your size is below 175, but otherwise you can eat them! There are smaller, harmless fish and NPC tadpoles who can also eat algae.
All sprites by me. If you're gonna use them, give credit! Some more content is planned for the future. Inspired by agar.io. NO ADS!!!!!!!!!!! My highscore's 450! Growth stages and corresponding sizes: <100 = tadpole >100 = tadpole with stumpy hind legs >125 = tadpole with full hind legs and stumpy forelegs >175 = frog with tail >225 = frog Planned future addition(s): -Smoother, less clunky-feeling tadpole/frog movement. Considerations for future additions: -Fishing line that swings across the screen, which the player must dodge. -Lily pads that drift across the screen, obstructing the player's vision (might get annoying). -Being able to eat other tadpoles once you've grown into a frog. -Leeches as an alternative skin for water bugs (there are predatory leech species IRL that eat tadpoles). -Fishing spiders as an alternative skin for water bugs ( as IRL fishing spiders regularly eat tadpoles and small fish, but they may be too scary-looking for Scratch's target audience).
