Haxy's Playhouse was sort of a high budget pilot episode to Haxguy and Friends that aired in 1981. They also only had 6 characters, unlike the cartoon because they blew their money on the special effects and costumes. The plot is sort of like Barney. A little girl named Anna has no friends and her only "true" friends are her plushies of animals. With her imagination, they come to life and play along with her. Only the people who believe in them can see them. The pilot only aired once on ABC and hasnt aired since. It was released on VHS but are very rare. After the episode aired, it was a huge hit, and they started writing scripts for new episodes, but then they ran into a major problem: their budget. The entire one episode cost alot of money seeing as they had big stars acting as the characters and doing the special effects and costumes, therefore, they had very little money to make more episodes, thus the show was cancelled. They now sit it the abandoned studio that still sits in Brooklyn today. a mere 10 years later, Haxguy and friends aired, and The Playhouse was forgotten by many but remembered by few. and those suits stay there..... rotting in place.....
