oh my gosh..real art for once?!?YESSS i think it’s safe to say my art had improved a bit since I last posted, although this might have been a little rushed… the hand poses for the violin are off, so sorry to any violinists because i could not get it right T_T but im really proud of the ink arms!! :D i absolutely love this characters design, it’s so creative and stunning + i love spookier designs and vampire guys, he was so fun to draw and i have some lore in the making… which i shall share now but first..a little introduction!! Brutus He/him Likes: playing violin, writing, poetry, ink, art, birds (crows specifically) Dislikes: bright colors, complete darkness, weird/dangerous stunts, messy rooms and small spaces Fun facts: the violin he plays is his grandfathers! it is custom made ofc and the bow is shaped like a pen! :0 he also always has an ink bottle on his bow (you can’t see it in this art sadly) and he always brings it with him anywhere he goes hehe here’s a bit of his backstory, ITS A WORK IN PROGRESS BTW!!! also slight tw there’s some mentions of abvs3 and substance use and death but it’s nothing really bad i think IDK ahh i just wanted to share bc I have fun writing stories :D Brutus was always a quiet and secluded person. He was born during the cold December in Poland, when his family was struggling the most. His mother died from a sickness when he was 3, and his father died shortly after from hypothermia while attempting to retrieve food from the forest. He became an orphan afterward, and was given his current name, Brutus, since his original name was lost. He was adopted by a few different people (some of them were abusive) who all ended up returning him in complaints of difficult behavior or being too different, which ended up giving this poor guy more trauma :( Finally, he was adopted by a somewhat lovely and wealthy couple, Rosemary and Victor, at age 8. When he first started school, Brutus could be seen at school carrying thick books around, some of which were filled with his own writing and doodles. He worked very hard to get good grades and be “normal”, in fears of being sent back to the orphanage like everyone else did to him. Despite his work, though, Brutus struggled to focus in class, whether he was zoning out or writing/drawing disturbing or creepy things. (his earliest hallucinations) Rosemary took him to different classes such as art classes, violin lessons, and poetry classes. He also took some on math and physics but did not connect or understand the topics. Brutus would always insist on his mother or father accompanying him during the classes due to separation anxiety and other stuff. His mental health only got worse over the years, but did not have any way to fix it at the time or was too busy. By the time he was 32, he had his own mansion and a pet cat named Bonifacy, yet most of the funds from his adoptive parents’ money, but he also had success in poetry and the violin, while most of his art was personal. At the age of 35, Brutus was famously recognized as a professional composer in both literature and music. He was across newspapers for every release, and even had his own billboards and small events in his city. Although he had easy money making and huge inheritance, he started showing signs of his schizophrenia getting even worse and just insanity. During interviews he complained of odd figures watching him and someone interrupting his speech when there really was nothing. Brutus watched his life fall apart around him and eventually developed an addiction to drinking the ink used on his own work since he claimed it made him forget his problems for a little or just replace them. This made him way more sick and stained his mouth, and the ink he had been using caused very..”mild” side effects such as his own limbs transforming into ink and changing his eye color. By 42, he passed from led poisoning, but legend has it that his pet cat, who had outlived him but disappeared shortly after, hopped over his grave, transforming his soul into a ink-drinking vampire. (did you like the little mention of some old myths abt cats? i did. hehe) (also i know the cat name bonifacy is from the 70s-80s but i really wanted to use it bc it was a cool reference) also erm….if anyone here has toyhouse and likes my art a lots….commissions are open … ☹ ☹ ☹ i need money desperately me user is sodatabb… ☹
