You can use this set of guidelines as a reference! This is specifically intended for cats in clans, as loners and kittypets don't have the same limitations! However, clan cats of unique backgrounds (previously a loner or a kittypet) can have exceptions, but they are expected to take the standards of their clan and leader into account (such as if a suffix needs to be added at the end of the name). Cats who already exist with names listed in the restricted section will not be asked to make any changes, but it's requested that this project is taken into account when creating future characters and/or litters! ══════════════════════════════════ ✎ᝰ. Appropriate names: • nature-based – animals – plants – natural phenomena – gemstones • physical descriptions • actions • personality traits (e.g., Bravekit) and skills – Negative connotations require reasoning when discussing with your group's admin(s) whether your character can have a litter. ══════════════════════════════════ ✎ᝰ. Inappropriate names: • scientific names (e.g., panthera leo, dicentra spectabilis) • hyphenated names • twoleg objects/concepts/names – locations – inventions – abstract ideas (e.g., kalopsia) – seasons (e.g., autumn) – mythology – religion – astrology • centered around disabilities (e.g., Brokentail) • slang • other languages • words with double meanings (e.g., scat...) • mythical creatures (e.g., unicorn) • eclipse/eclipsing – This name is disallowed to honor a young TFCRP roleplayer who sadly passed away. • ranks as prefixes • sacred places (e.g., Silverpelt and the Moonpool) ══════════════════════════════════
