*Phoenix had been in this world for a few weeks now, and it still had no idea how to find Nova or Xyra. It had found the Listeners main base, a ruined castle on a mountain (very inconspicuous). But it hadn't found a way in. Phoenix sat on the edge of the hill, making sure it was safely behind a rock. It had tied the bandanna from the Listeners around its face, hoping the power would help it hide itself. It stared at the castle, watching people fly in and out, and suddenly, it saw her...Nova...She was hovering next to a Listener, her mask still on her face...She looked even more like she was becoming stars now, the ends of her arms and legs almost invisible in the darkening sky. It tried reaching out to her mentally, hoping to get some sort of response* /Nova! Can you hear me? Nova!\ *It could feel her presence in its mind, but the presence felt wrong...Nova felt like she was only half there, and the other half was replaced by a ghost...one who wanted nothing more than power...* /Nova, please...\ *Nova was looking around now, and it realized with horror that she was trying to find it* /No, you can't come find me. I need to stay hidden, or I can't...I can't help you...\ *Nova was staring in its direction, slowly raising a hand, then she stopped and her hand dropped to her side* (Nova) /Phoenix, run...\ *The voice sounded like hundreds mixed together, and it could barely distinguish her own voice in it...but it sensed the urgency. Phoenix flew off, heading back to its base camp at the bottom of the mountain in a small cave hidden by the forest* *The next day, it decided to try and reach out to Xyra* (Phoenix)/Xyra, are you there?\ (Xyra)/Phoenix!? You actually found this place!? How long...?\ (Phoenix)/A few weeks. I didn't want to risk contact until I'd gotten used to this world and figured out how risky it would be...\ (Xyra)/I knew it! I could sense the powers of that bandanna I gave you being used! I KNEW IT!\ *Phoenix couldn't help but laugh* /What's so funny?\ (Phoenix)/You used to be so "mysterious" and now you kind of sound like an excited kid...\ *It could feel Xyra's annoyance, but it wasn't sure yet if it needed to apologize or not* (Xyra)/Have you found a way into the castle yet? Or the cellar underneath?\ (Phoenix)/Not yet...I may have an idea though. I found this old cave when I first got here, and it goes really far under the mountain. I think it goes under the castle.\ (Xyra)/That's possible. We took this place from its original inhabitants, and no one knows every way into the castle...yet...\ (Phoenix)/I'll check out this tunnel then...Maybe it'll lead to the cellar.\ *It started to walk, trying to ignore the chill that went down its spine as it walked. The farther it went, the more energy it could sense. The walls seemed alive almost with energy, and that was a bit scary...It walked until it reached a dead end. The wall was strangely flat, which made it think the wall wasn't real. It put its hand on the wall. It felt cold under its hand, but it also felt strange...the wall definitely wasn't real* (Phoenix)/Xyra, I've found a strange wall. I'm pretty sure it's fake. Do you know how I can open it?\ (Xyra)/A fake wall? I haven't seen one of those in a while...you should be able to will it open, like how you can will a world to freeze.\ *Phoenix closed its eyes and thought of the wall. It thought of the wall opening and letting it through. When it opened it's eyes, the wall had turned see-through, which hadn't been what it anticipated, but it wasn't going to complain* (Phoenix)/I'm through.\ *It walked through the wall and looked around* /I think I'm in the cellar!\........
WE'RE BACK! Maybe...I am currently busy irl and idk how often new Loyalty chapters will come out, but I'm happy to present a new chapter AND a new design for Phoenix! Look at it! It's got gold eyes now, and it's wing are cool, and it has a new top, and it's hair is growing out! :)
