From the Journal of an Imperial Senator, by the name of Sergei Kyvantic. Sergei was an outspoken Human Rights activist in the 1860s and onwards until his death at the age of 77 in 1903. Pictured here is two Serfs at Kerkezevinsk Farm, a man (64) and his daughter (31). The red sash around the Daughter's waist is to signal that she is not to be pursued by Suitors, as she is either engaged or is already in a relationship of some kind with another man, likely a fellow Serf.
For the Tsar.
