Previous: none, this is the first. ;) Eight Fates: a Ninjago AU story. ~Prolougue~ Long before time had a name, the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago, using the four Elemental Weapons...However, this is not the Ninjago you know. No, not at all...here, things are different. At a glance, it may seem the same, but there are eight who've switched places; eight, Whose fates have changed...|| "Ngh! A-almost there..." He grunts as he scales a tall mountain, high above the ground, trying to forget his worries. His hands ache but he keeps climbing, the top in sight. He grasps the top and pulls himself up, sighing as he's finally made it to the peaceful, secluded mountaintop. However, an old man in white sits at the top drinking tea, as if he was waiting there for him. "Welcome Lloyd, come, sit." Lloyd steps back, he would've gone further but a small rock fell off the mountaintop and rolled down, reminding Lloyd of how close to the edge he was. "How...how do you know my name?" He asks, a bit afraid, but Wu does not asnwer. As the wind blows, its gust and the smell of tea break the silence, Lloyd hesitantly steps forward and sits by the table Wu has prepared. Wu pours a cup of tea from his old-looking kettle, and offers it to Lloyd. "Let's chat, I wish to recruit you for my team of ninja." A few days later, in the evening near a pond deep in a cold forest Pixal was doing her daily meditation. It had been quiet the whole time she was meditating, not a single sound but the birds and the wind. Yet somehow, when she opened her eyes an old man was in front of her, who was definitely not there before. Pixal paused for a moment, "Um, who are you?" She questioned, tilting her head slightly as she tried to understand how Wu managed to get there without her noticing. Wu sipped his cup of tea, and set it down on the table he had brought over. "I am Wu. How would you like...to become a ninja?" He asks as he pours Pixal a cup of tea. Pixal nods, without needing much time to think it over, as her life is pretty uneventful as it stands and she would be happy to join if it meant helping and keeping people safe. "I am willing to become one, yes...but could you tell me more?" Wu nods, "of course." And he begins to explain. One night in Ninjago City, Skylor was about to test out the newest version of her glider. "If you're gonna live in a junkyard might as well use some of it..." She mumbles before jumping off the building, the glider works to an extent, but she ends up crashing through a billboard on another building. "Ow..." She gets up, rubbing her head which is hurting from the crash. She hears clapping, as Wu applauds her effort while he sits at his mini-table once again, sipping his tea. Skylor looks around confused, before she spots him. "Wait, what's an old man doing drinking tea on a rooftop?" She asks, perplexed by his presence. He stops clapping, taking a sip of tea, "you are good at making things, and if one has the patience and perseverance to create, surely they will do well when being trained." "what? You didn't answer my question." Skylor asks, still confused..no, more confused now. "I wish to make you my student, for you to learn the ways of a ninja." "A...a ninja?" Skylor takes off the glider, and sits down. Wu nods, and Skylor rubs her head, wondering if maybe it got hit a bit too hard...still in disbelief of the old man drinking tea in front of her.
