GdR had collected some Seeders after the first attack. Using genetic modification and the rapid reproduction of our Tyranids, we were able to create massive replicas of the Seeders, which we designate 'Crooks'. They live in the air and use suction to keep themselves afloat, moving at a typical speed of 45 miles per hour. They grab up any organisms that are designated to be consumed(e.g. Flood) using their hooked, fully opposable appendages. The image provided shows a creature with only one revealed appendage(They can be folded/concealed). These hooked tentacles have no set length(they average around 100-1000 feet in length), and a Crook has no set number of tentacles that it can grow. These organisms are comprised of cells that can serve any purpose, such as muscle, eye, nerve, etc., as well as being able to physically change colour or texture; however, they typically tend to specialise unless adaptation is necessary. These creatures are incapable of feeling physical pain and are given an AI-like intelligence(unlike Tyranids, who have basic functions) to allow them to coordinate with personnel; Crooks can also upload consciousness into their databases. They approach their prey from behind and then attack them with their hooks, whether they are on the ground or in the air. Crooks consume their targets via a ventral orifice, which then regurgitates anything that cannot be assimilated. Speaking of, the Crooks are able to incorporate metal and other non-organic masses into their structure, typically preferring to use them for sharper tentacles. Because of its origins, Crooks are immune to Flood infection, and their unique anatomy and physiology, the Crooks have proven to be very adaptable and defensive creatures.
