It's been a week since I've seen that white rabbit. I feel like something is watching me though. I now sit in a tree swinging my feet watching the sunrise. I look down and see a white rabbit once again. I blink but then is disappears. I grab my back and climb down the tree quickly running to town square. People were weeping, the portraits of the girls that went missing in the past were hung on a wall outside our only church in this small town. I look for my mom in the crowd. "Alice!" I turn around to see my best friend Monica come running to me. She hugs me tight. "Hey Monica!" I say dropping my bag to hug her back. She takes a step back helping me pick up my bag my sketch pad falling out. She picked it up handing it back to me but not right before she sees a drawing of a white rabbit. "Alice..." she says closing the sketchbook quickly looking around. "There just sketches Monica," I say shoving it into my satchel giving her a look that told her to shut up. She looks away and we walk toward the wall of portraits. I look up at the very first girl to go missing. Alice Liddell. She kind of looked like me. We had the same fair skin, blue eyes and curly blonde hair. In her portrait she wore a blue dress and held a white rabbit with red eyes. Something felt off with this portrait. I look at the rest quickly. All of them held a white rabbit with red eyes. "Hey Monica who painted these portraits?" I say turning towards her. She shrugged. I turn back to Alice's portrait and notice a white rose dripping red in the background. I try to get a closer look but not before Monica pulls me away to go see what the Mayor was saying. I didn't listen to what the mayor was saying because I was to busy trying to figure out why the painting felt so off. That's when I see a rabbit with glowing red eyes hop behind a bush.
