Slideshow project. You know how it works. Day 1- Oldest and newest ------------ Left: oldest OC, "lynxy", created when I was 3. I'm 13. Newest OC, created yesterday in class because someone gave me the prompt of "stinky spider soldier". Day 2- Most popular ------------ This is Robyn, you may know her, all my friends like her for her chaotic personality. She's an older OC of mine, and a benchmark as the first Israeli character I ever made. Day 3- Control ------------ This one's a little political, iykyk. This is Chuck, my unintentional villain. He is, as the doodle suggests, being puppeted by something more... sinister.... 'nuff said. Day 4- Family ------------ A small slice of the Golden family (actually their last name, not some nickname I've given them). Left to right: Coop, he/him, also known affectionately to my irl friends as "hacksaw guy", I think with some simple logic you may be able to piece together why, considering he is missing an arm. AAAAANYWAYS, Auggie, they/them, Coop's platonic spouse (they're both Aroace, but very close friends, so they are legally married for the benefits.), June, she/her, Auggie's eldest sister, and Auburn, they/them, June's romantic partner, they have some cool lore but that's for later. Day 5: Soul ------------ Not canon, yes, but this is from an AU where I, err, terminated Shiri. Don't ask. Day 6: Regret ------------ The other side of this AU. I'm not proud of this one, it looks pretty bad. Hila is Shiri's wife in the actual canon. Day 7: Tomb ------------ I make a big stink about never killing off a Sun, Moon, Stars character, but the way the book's slightly exaggerated version of the IDF notifies about injury is kind of ominous. This is June again, thinking Auggie is gone (she is their legal guardian, so she would get notified if something happened- it did but Auggie survived). The flower is a Kalinot, or Anemone Coronaria, Israel's national flower since 2013, and a symbol of hope since October 7, 2023. Auggie's army service took place during the resulting war. Sorry for the ramble. Day 8: Two sides of a coin ------------ This is Shira. Has two modes: Will end you, or (specifically with Noa, who you'll meet later), will feed you peanut butter crackers by hand. Day 9: Feeling better ------------ Coop needed his own artwork. He's doing a bit better after being "freed" (in his words) from the military. He's smiling, but it's a Mona Lisa smile. Bittersweet, but he and Auggie are wholesome. Genuinely one of my favorite OCs I've created, he's fun to write for. He's canonically an Alto. Day 10: Beautiful ------------ I did not mean to have two disabled characters in a row. This is Gilat (on the left). Grumpy French-Canadian (former) lone soldier. Her girlfriend (THEY'RE ALL QUEER BWAHAHAHAHAHA) is the one on the right. I'm not gonna spoil my book, but it's Chuck's fault, stuff happened, and Gilat now has a severed spinal cord from T12 down (right below the ribs, know your anatomy) (possible to survive, but rare). I've seen others use disabled characters for this one instead of conventionally attractive characters. Why not hop on the wagon train :3. Day 11: Theme song ------------ Luna doing that one meme with the kid and the piano. In all seriousness, she's very musical, and I didn't feel like porting a song into Scratch, plus most of my music tastes aren't great for this site. She probs writes silly songs for everyone or annoys her girlfriend (Talia, you may meet her later) by singing sad songs at 2am. Day 12: Cute/Wholesome ------------ This is Sergeant Beans. June got her actually promoted. Modeled after my real cat, I have a project with pics. Legend has it she's still on base to this day, knocking things over for fun. Day 13: Demon ------------ Not much to say, just silly here. Longcat pulls shifts in heck now ig? Day 14: Spoilers ------------ I like the trope where a character survives something awful, then wakes up in the hospital covered in sweat. This is Noa. She's my main character. As you may have guessed, battle injuries. No more context for y'all now, I ate it. Day 15: AU ------------ I actually considered having Maya join the US Army at one point. This was in the EARLY phases of writing her, during the Biden administration. She's pretty liberal. Once I figured out how old Maya actually was going to be, and when the story took place, I figured Maya's enlistment would line right up with Cheeto man's first term, and that would be very out of character for her. She is a military brat, her father having been in service from before she was born through when she graduated high school. We do know her father was in Iraq several times, it's used for a small gag in a scene where Maya brings everyone to her house to see the eclipse that happened in 2017. June (dating Shira at the time) describes Sergeant beans to Maya's father as if she is human (she is the cat from day 12), and it takes him a while to find out. Being clueless runs in the family.
Cont. Desc Day 16: Fury ------------ This one is bad too. Probs June yelling at Chuck or something. Day 17: Triumph ------------ Not all triumph is big. Here's Gilat again, probably at some impromptu unit reunion. They run a goofy book store together, Gilat canonically makes all the bubble tea for everyone. I'd say she's toasting something like "Thank goodness Chuck isn't here". She's probably holding a glass of jello, she is not much of a wine person. Peak canadian. Day 18: Forgiveness ------------ A poster from the aforementioned bookstore with a picture of Chuck, with a moustache drawn on him by Coop probably. This is the most forgiveness he'll ever get. ----------- That's all! Thanks for reading!
