I wake up in a haze my head pounding once again. I look around and remember what had happened. I had fallen into a bush. A rose bush. I look at the white roses that surrounded me. Some of them dripped red. I sniffed one that had red dripping paint. Wait, that wasn't paint. I scream. It smelled like bl00d. I look around for my satchel. I see it and i quickly grab it, the bottom of my dress getting caught on a thorn tearing off a little. I take out my sketchbook doodling the Mad Hatter and the small mouse I saw earlier. I also quickly scribble the white rose with bl00d on it. I stuff it in my bag standing up. I push the vines away from my face trying to move through the thorny maze. It felt like forever before I finally push out of the maze. I fall on all fours gasping for fresh air. I look back at the rose bush and shudder. I stand up fixing myself a little. My dress was all ripped and jagged at the ends and my black boots where so dirty you might of thought I was rolling in the mud on purpose. "We're painting the roses red," some voices sang in the distance. My curiosity got the better of me, so I started walking slowly in the direction of the voices. I gasp. They we're talking cards! I back away slowly and run into a garden. Another rose garden, of course. Whoever lived here must love there white roses... dipped in bl00d. I shudder at the thought again. As I keep walking I start to realize its like a maze in here. I keep taking turns and I feel like I'm walking in circle's. "Halt! Who are you?" I turn around. A card stood right there looking very angry. "Hello, sir, um where am I?" I ask backing away slowly. "Wait a minute... your a girl! The queen will be pleased." he said smirking. "Queen... Like... Queen of... Hearts?" I gasp, "Just like Alice Liddell claimed! I really have gone mad." I say running in the opposite direction. I hear a lot of yelling as I run with what's left in my tired aching body. I gasp for air as I see a white tail. "White rabbit," I whisper chasing after the bushy tail. I chase the rabbit, as it leads me out of the maze. Maybe it was helping me! I run after it. I dive trying to grab it's bushy tail but I land face first in another rose bush. I groan standing up quickly running after the white rabbit once again. This felt like a game of tag mixed with hide and seek for some reason. I stop running looking both ways. "Oh come on!" I yell into the air. The blasted rabbit had gotten away again! I pout kicking a rock. "How will I ever get through this place when I can't even tell which way is north and south!" I yell in frustration. "A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger. Some say, to survive it, you need to be as mad as a hatter." someone said from behind me. I smile turning around to find a Mad Hatter with a cup of tea in his hands smiling back at me. "Care to join me for a spot of tea?" he asks me tipping his hat.
