✨✨✨✨ guess who finally decided to redraw this thing again click the background to proceed, click the art to zoom in 1. sometime in fall 2020 probably ~ I believe this was actually made in scratch, not sketchbook, that's how old it is :0 its really bad lol 2. June 2021 ~ there is a definite improvement here, especially with anatomy, but it's still 2D no shading 3. sept. 2021 ~ only a couple months later but still improved a lot, we have shading and lighting, but the anatomy is still a little weird and hair doesn't look hairy and the eyes are a fully shiny and large but its ok 4. April 2022 ~ this ones actually really cute I like it! just some issues with anatomy and the shiny things look weird but it's nice 5. Jan. 2023 ~ this one at first glance seems really good - well because it is - and I was honestly scared to redraw it again for that reason. that's why the time gap is so long ToT this is really nice but there still are some problems with it, for example the background is really soft and the water doesn't look right and the lighting makes no sense whatsoever because the sun is behind her?? plus colors are a little crazy 6. the new one!! I love it so much <33 you can definitely see the background is a million times better and the colors go together better, plus the shading makes more sense (I chose where the sun was) and the hair is so nice, I noticed irl that hair has a ring of more reddish/saturated highlight and then a brighter, less saturated highlight beneath it, so I began to apply that to my art :) also, maybe its just me but I feel like the lines are a little more confident maybe? and the skin rendering is a lot better too 7. same piece but with a blue filter instead of yellow and then with no filter 8. side by side comparison of the first and most recent! i'm so proud of myself ^^ credits ✨ all art and code by me, @squidy-icecream thumbnail lazily created on canva by me you may notice the Jan 2023 one has a signature that says @ice_creamed, that's my alt account that I never use and posted the last redraw on don't worry I'm not stealing ✨✨✨✨✨
