so, five nights with spyder, huh?? before I talk further, lemme just Switch into this style of talking like I used to before, as it feels more sincere. So, Five Nights With Spyder, huh? If you are unaware, the remastered edition of FNWS 1, the Definitive Edition, is coming out tomorrow. After… Three years of work. Granted, it probably would’ve taken a year and a half if I didn’t take constant breaks due to demotivation and business. I still regret not getting it out last month for the five year anniversary, but eh. Things just didn’t work out. Anyways. What exactly is this new edition? Long story short: It’s the first FNWS game, but remastered. Short story long: This game is the newest and definitive version of the game. This is what I wanted the game to be five years ago, now remade in order to fully realize the plans I had back then. This is a version of the game that will now be consistently updated with new things and bug fixes. This is the replacement for the original version, though the OG will unfortunately still be up. However, the lore will be mostly unchanged, so to @Missing_The_Mark , the best and currently only FNWS theorist out there, you don’t need to play it to perfectly adjust the timeline, though ONE important character’s name has changed. In addition, for the first time in the series history, this game will also be ported to Gamejolt, for a multitude of reasons. 1. Some of the technical effects I wanna incorporate in later installments are just too complex to be done in Scratch, or at least efficiently. 2. Scratch is NOTORIOUS for treating FNAF fangames incredibly unfairly, and I feel like my games would reach a bigger audience somewhere else. 3. Let’s just say some of the content later will be a little… Unfitting, for the demographic on this website. (nothing extreme) Rest assured, the games will still be available here, just slightly changed to fit them here. Now, what exactly does this mean for the fifth game? Well, I plan on delaying it a bit. You see, the game is HEAVILY outdated, as seen from my April Fools demo a bit ago. If I’m going to remake that game to fit with my current expectations, why not remake the other games first? So you unfortunately you may have to wait a while to receive the conclusion to the story. What about the rest of the games, how long will they take? Not NEARLY as long as this one did. I have found new motivation and new energy to work on these games, so I plan and actively working on them with less breaks. However, I’m also going to be working on them a bit slower, and I might take one to two months after publishing this game to rest. I loved developing it, but I just had a lot of burnout and stress forming working on it that ended up up not having fun at times So I’m avoiding that. I’m working on the game at my own pace, but after my break, I’ll try to add at least one thing to the second game per day I’m available, no matter how small. Guess that’s it for now. I’m really excited to have you guys see the improvement over these five years. Thank you all so much for staying with this series, despite the many, MANY roadblocks it faced. okay serious talking more over im back to this now
