It's been a week since I've seen Alice. She seemed more distant. I stand in front of my closet staring at my dresses. I wanted to wear something new today. Knowing Alice she was probably wearing her signature blue dress. I look at the time and nearly gasp. I couldn't be late. I pull a red dress from a hanger and get dressed quickly. I run to town square to find Alice. I spot her blue dress in the crowd of weeping people. "Alice!" I yell hugging her tightly "Hey Monica!" She said dropping her bag to hug me back. I bend down to help her pick up her stuff. I see her sketch book and I was handing it to her it opened and I saw a drawing of a white rabbit. "Alice..." I said closing the sketchbook quickly looking around. "There just sketches Monica," She said scowling at me. I look away and we walk toward the wall of portraits. I look up at the very first girl to go missing. Alice Liddell. In her portrait she wore a blue dress and held a white rabbit with red eyes. "Hey Monica who painted these portraits?" Alice asked me. I Shrug. I pull Alice away from the portraits to see what the mayor was saying. Alice seemed to be acting strange. "Alice?" I ask her but she isn't listening. She was staring at a bush. A rose bush.
