[ ♠︎ ——⬩ [ ♡ ] ⬩—— ♠︎ ] [♧] ⌜ INTRO ⌟ Hello everyone! Looks like the second session of SPC has leader apps out now! *cue dramatic gasp* If this is something you’d be interested in, then perhaps you should apply! All info needed is in the description, and the project itself! If you’d like to apply this session, be sure to read everything in its entirety! Even if you have experience with applying for other Scratch Camps, it’s always good to read the fine print! Now, I know that this delay was HUGE, and I really don’t have an excuse for why it took so long for these to come out. Life has been catching up to me, but we’ll make this work! Like said in the project, I won’t be as strict on the creativity aspect in apps this time around! [ ♠︎ ——⬩ [ ♡ ] ⬩—— ♠︎ ] [♧] ⌜ FAQ ⌟ "What is SPC?" SPC stands for Scratch Photography Camp! It is a triannual virtual camp that has sessions in April, August, and December. Campers will set a goal of how many pictures they wish to take during the session, and aim to meet this goal by the end of the session. The goal of the camp is to have more people interested in photography and in improving their skills, and making valuable friendships with eachother! --- "What are the responsibilities of a leader?" Leaders should: - Keep a healthy balance between SPC and real life, and encourage campers to do the same. - Actively plan during the month of preparation before the session. - Oversee the cabin and help campers with anything they may need help with to the best of your ability. - Take responsibility for inviting campers to your cabin, and also updating picture counts as often as possible --- "How do I apply?" Remix this project and answer the questions on the slides in the project! A lot of apps have a "theme" when designing their project, while a theme is not required it would be recommended as creativity is taken into account when selecting leaders (Though, this session creativity won’t play as much of a role due to the short period of time given for apps). This is mostly just to see your personality, and doesn't have to be anything /too/ crazy. They could just be aesthetic-ified slides since we’ll be needing all the help we can get :D --- "What are the cabins?" Cabins will be the different genres of photography. You can suggest any cabin as long as it fits that theme. The following are some potential cabin ideas: - Nature Photography - Astrophotography - Macro Photography - Architecture Photography - Portrait Photography If you have any other ideas for a cabin, don't be afraid to mention it in your leader app, and there's a chance it'll become a cabin! Note: Cabin name does NOT determine what kind of photography you can take, any photography will count during the session. --- "I don’t have experience in previous camps at all, will this affect my chances?" While having experience with other scratch camps, especially leadership positions, will certainly help your chances, if you show that you would be a great leader, you can still be selected even without experience. Anyone can apply, though it's recommended you have at least a bit of experience in scratch camps so you know what to expect. --- "When is my application due?" Applications will be due by November 5th at 11:59 UTC. However, extensions can be given for a valid reason such as tech issue or unexpected plans. Extensions will have to be requested before apps close, not after. Extensions can be requested on my profile () or in the comments. Extensions can only be given for up to 24 hours. --- "When will leaders be chosen?” Leaders will be chosen a few days after apps close, and the time taken will likely be rather short due to the fact that we aren’t expecting many applications as this is a smaller camp! --- And that's it! Any other questions can be directed to my profile or in the comments. Can't wait to see who will apply, and if you're not applying I still hope to see you as a camper for our session!
