This is a fun, random community teamwork project I made. Basically you just press the right arrow key and sit there watching the number increase and the clouds go by. As Walkie moves, distance will be added to the variables. I did all the math I could to try and make this as accurate as possible, so yes, that really is the approximate distance little Walkie has covered. THE SEQUEL: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/163431394/ Once we make it across the US, Walkie's going around the world. ;)
Music by @PaulRHJT, go check him out! All the coding and animation (wait, animation? what animation?) done my me. The scratch cat skin was made by @Kathylim4132 To all you lovely people asking the point of the project: It isn't a game, it isn't a platformer. This project's point is to get the scratch community banded together in the pursuit of helping our lovely Walkie keep walking. ;) Thanks! ~Updates~ 9/28/16 ~ Shared. 11/18/16~ FEATURED!!! :O 11/19/16~ Added an option for you lovely metric users! ;) While I was there, I also made the variables a bit smoother. I saw how glitchy they were getting with lots of people playing, so now they only update 5 times per second. ;) 11/19/16~ Day/night cycle- credit to @Appadeia for the idea! Now, between the hours of 6 PM and 6 AM, the game will have a nighttime theme. 11/19/16~ I switched everything over to the sidebar for easier access. Also, bonus; you can now check how far you have personally walked walkie! :) 11/19/16~ Added coins! I'll work on a shop later. ;) 11/20/16~ The shop is finished and currently carries one item! More will be added later. 11/20/16~ Added a volume control button. Thanks to @PaintonThePonyYT for the suggestion! Also added a jump option. ;) 4/14/17~ Added weather (Snow during the winter, rain in spring/summer/fall), added a new upgrade to the shop, and added bushes to our normal clouds. There are also a few skins to choose from now. ;) ~What I'm working on~ (Maybe, possibly?) a list of the users currently playing/how many people are on. Comment if you read this far! ;)
